Shooting in Columbus, Ohio: Police say 10 people were left hurt after a mass shooting took place on Sunday morning in the Short North District near Downtown Columbus.
Columbus police say the shooting took place just before 2:30 A.M. One of the victims is in critical condition at this time. Two of the victims are juveniles while the other eight are adult males, according to CPD.
Police Sgt. Joe Albert said the suspect was chased by special off duty officers before escaping. The suspect traveled in the wrong direction on North 4th Street.
CPD are searching for the suspect at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS.

Depends on the situation. I have a deputy friend and friends who work as news reporters. A black police officer was in uniform was shot at before because an innocent person thought he was the suspect that the police wanted. People will go after wrong suspect. If any kids witnessed the incident then they may hold off. They believe was it teens with help from the public and they can’t reveal children due to legal reasons. Also, people have gotten the race wrong before.

The amount of upvotes this comment has is alarming. We went from 'blame video games' to 'blame guns' to 'blame the manufacturer' to 'blame the parents'. While I 100% agree there is a serious lack of parenting in the Western world today you cannot hold parents responsible for people committing monstrous crimes. Charging people who didn't do anything is a dangerous precedent at the very least or at most is flat out wrong. Hold responsible the individuals doing the crimes. Stop blaming everything else. If the police were in a pursuit with the vehicle they thought did the shooting, why did the stop the pursuit? Is it because they couldn't keep up, or is it because they passed an open donut shop? The the area where the shooting took place is next to the Stonewall office which is part of the LGBT community.
