A little recap of Topic 1 Edexcel mass spec. Calculating relative atomic mass of monatomic and diatomic elements from their mass spectra.
*Apologies I have spelt monatomic incorrectly in this tutorial! (Forgive me this was filmed during lockdown!!)

What sorts of exam questions can they ask us about this? So will they ask us to show the mass spectra of chlorine in it’s 9:6:1 ratio? Or will they give a random % value for a diatomic molecule so they can test us on our knowledge of the method??

so for cl2 do we ignore the peaks with 2 cl when calculating ar?
