I was given a TS clearance at 19 while in the military, had it for 4 years. We were constantly told what would happen if we told anyone what we worked on. It started with 20 years, but since we were at war it could get us a firing squad.

None of what was published were juicy new details for people who followed the war, from sources that were not propaganda outlets.

A lot of MOS’s require a security clearance. They are not determined by age but background checks and only if they pass they get the clearance. Now what this service member did after the fact is nothing less than treason. He may be a bad apple but I served with plenty of young solders all over the world who performed their duties timely and with honor.

Don’t listen to the media. You literally have to get clearance to join now. Especially in the Air Force. If you’re old enough to join, you have to be in the loop. There is no age limits for clearance. If you’re old enough to die for your country, at least give them the tools to not have to.

I know that's an easy shot to make, but please remember that the vast majority of leakers of classified information are full-time active duty, GS civilians, or contractors. Our Guard and Reserve members, the "weekend warriors"as you put it, are required to maintain the exact same level of readiness as those on active duty...with 1/15th of the days to do so. Additionally, since 9/11, nearly all of our Guard and Reserve members have been activated/mobilized for various real-world operational missions. So, this kid is a TOTAL f%^&up...I 100% agree. But please show the proper respect for the Guard and Reserve who have done something 99% of Americans have never done...put on military uniform. Sincerely, An Air Force Reserve Colonel

Trump actually had permission to declassify any documents he wanted, according to previous court rulings. Biden didn't even have permission to remove documents (at the time), much less take them to his garage or a university building paid for by the CCP.
