Amazing story of faith, resiliance and hope. Berta witnessed so much on Central America coming during the civil war in her own country! To see loved ones & family members killed in such a brutal way must have been extremely heart breaking- yet today she has found a reason to smile. What could have broken her completely, didn't! Her story is a beautiful testimony of faith, hope & determination. Excited to order the Hawaiian coffee soon.

I can't imagine the heartache and trauma that Bertha went through as a young child. To see her rise above adversity and put everything into her dream of owning her own coffee business is amazing. I've never had her coffee but I imagine that it's one of the best because you can tell that she really puts her love into every bean. Such a great story.

It was truly amazing to witness her enthusiasm as she recounted her first-place victory in their inaugural competition. Her passion was palpable, and it was evident that this achievement meant the world to her. She and her family had harbored a long-standing desire to establish their own business, and in pursuit of this goal, they had devoted endless hours of hard work and meticulous planning. They had also saved up a considerable sum of money over the course of sixteen years. Finally, their perseverance and dedication paid off, and they were able to fulfill their American dream by purchasing their very own coffee plantation. As she spoke about the plantation, it was clear that the trees were her pride and joy, and she cared for them as if they were her own children.

Such a beautiful family and amazing story! I’m so grateful to live close by their farm and get to visit often. You’ll typically always find Berta working behind the counter to prepare her delicious coffee or giving tours of the farm to visitors always with a smile on her face. So happy to be able to hear more about their story and I’m so proud to have them represent the Ka’u community. Definitely a must visit if you come to the Big Island. Her sister even has a food truck next door selling pupusas, elotes and so much more. The Miranda’s family is a true example of far hard work, dedication, faith and love will get you in life❤
