Congratulations on being a new massage therapist!!! 🎉🎊👍🏼. It depends where you work. Most of my clients return every week or every 2 weeks. If they are injured they come more often. If it’s for relaxation about every 2 weeks. I recommend they don’t take a shower right away only when I use the pain cream or CBD cream. It is ok to take a shower after the massage. My advice to you is don’t work too many clients in one day so you don’t injure yourself. Take care of your hands! Watch your posture too. Best of luck to you! 🤗😊

Taylor I’m rusty too! The massage depends on wether it’s pre or post event. Pre is more energetic to get blood circulating and muscles warmed up. Post is for getting rid of the lactic acid ( there’s other acids too) and cooling off. I suggest you look up James Waslaski. He was my go to guy about sports massage! He’s amazing too.

I just want to say Thank you for all your knowledge and videos. I recently contacted my old teacher, who I really loved and I truly hold dearly the things she said and taught in school. I think of her all the time when I am giving massages and speaking massage with clients, friends and family even. When I reached out she said she is retired and I was hoping to pay a private lesson so she can see how I have developed in my technique and give me some new ideas etc or ways I can be better. But since she is now retired I just watch your videos. I am hoping to find a place to take short lessons to keep me knowledgeable but your videos truly truly help me to keep up with all the jargon of being a professional. I am remembering things I forgot etc as I took massage 10 years ago and just been working until recently I have been making a point daily to keep myself knowledgeable. Today I am trading massages with an old friend and in a few weeks I am getting a Scrub, Massage, Yoni, and access to Sauna and Jilljimbang at a Spa and in a few weeks after that we are getting a training at work for Vegas Nerve and we are adding a Chakras Acknowledgment type Treatment to our Services menu for Pride Month using Poultices! I am so excited!!!!! But again thanks so much Maria! You are a Rock Star!

Hi Maria, these tips are very important to achieve an impressive massage. 1. Being professional 2. Listening with your eyes, ears and hands 3. Fluency 4. Natural transition (effleurage helps) 5. Wild Honey Productions it is Continuing Education for massage therapist. Most states require around 12 hrs a year of continuing Ed. 🤗. Depends on the state your certification is from.

I have a suggestion for a future video...I'd be really interested in watching a video of you giving a massage where your body is the main feature, so I can see the way your body moves as the massage therapist.
