I can back the 65 hp tractor. I pull mine with a ford 6700, has about 70 hp at the pto. Pulls it great. I will also back the material it don’t like. I will not bale anything damp, and short
I don’t see a 40 hp tractor pulling it. The weight of it alone when it is about full would scare me on hilly ground as well. Personally to be comfortable you need a 75hp or larger.
Good review. Just a heads up, you should check your keyway locks on the gear sprockets. Make sure the keyway lock pieces aren't sliding out after running on rough ground, had the upper one slide out and get torn and lost power to the belts, wasn't easy to fix.
