Yes it worked but that crazy design was taken from the ferguson 20 and used up to the early 390 tractor. I have repaired many ok in the 100 series easy enough to split to remove the pump but a 690 with all that nonsense crammed into a small space just crazy .heaven knows why massey ferguson didn't fit a gear pump on the engine is crazy .

Hi Lance thanks for this vidio I can see were I was going wrong when I assembled mine on the 35x. Im dew for an oil change in the transmission so I will take the top off and check it out. Thanks for all your imfo. Cheers

Hello from Romania, I have a MF 65 mark (perkins ad4.203) and for a few days it's been pressurizing my oil pan, throwing oil on the dipstick When it starts, it starts easily, it has power, it has good oil pressure (when it's hot, instead it drops towards red, it's on green but only a little green). It also emits a little smoke from the exhaust when idling. What should I check on the engine, are there worn segments?

Do a compression test first but also make sure the breather hose is not blocked
