My kids did it in the early 2000’s in New England we had 3 feet for Halloween 😊 I still brought them, they filled their pillow cases (I’m old school so pillow cases it was!)since no one really went out, people were dumping their bowls out for them just because of the kid’s determination it was epic!
Yeah the annoying thing here is he's saying in the video that it's below average but doesn't even bother to mention the averages and what data that's using. Until like the late 2000s we'd be wearing *at least* thermal underwear underneath our Halloween costumes and have a coat just in case it's too cold. Like are we saying it's below average for the past decade? Is it below average for all time?
@@brawndothethirstmutilator9848yes it was uphill both ways and I had to wear two left shoes with holes in them as my stepfather chased me with a belt dragging my mother by her hair
I'm up in the High Desert of AZ. It is way hotter here than it should be right now. Really can't wait for it to drop back down to the low 80's, or 70's to get back outside. It's still 95-100 here. Basically going on 5 months of Summer.
Greetings from the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Prayers for all affected by Helene and Milton. Praying that that's it for US landfalls for the year. Much love ya'll ❤️ ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Western PA here and yeah same. You always have winter and summer clothing around. You ALWAYS have a jacket handy too. It could be the middle of summer at like 95F then the next day it's 60 somehow. lol Recently we dropped from like 80s to 50s within a span of a few days and I heard someone complaining about how it didn't gradually change. I was like "Ah you're new. Yeah weather isn't "normal" here."
Here in Hamilton,ON feels like we won’t have winter again. Here’s really warm. Trees are supposed to be orange and red at this point but they’re still green. 😢😢
Ohio has had such mild bull crap as well. We need a lot of snow and a lot of cold not only is it good for the mother nature but also for the economy, people who own snow, plowing businesses and etc🌲🌲❄️❄️❄️🥶🥶🥶🎄🎄🎄 I am so ready Ohio summer was brutal and miserable this year
@@nattttiieeddd I am right there with you. Snow is really good for our economy also add for us snowmobiling, skiing, and hotels for these sports. Our mom and papa’s businesses need a snowy winter.
It was 32 degrees in Aberdeen, SD a few days ago. I grew up in northwest Minnesota. Once late September comes around you gotta be prepared for freezing temperatures at any time. My grandfather remembers having to quit chopping corn in late September because there was too much snow. In the summer of 2023 it dropped to 39 degrees in the first week of July by Grand Forks. In International Falls, MN it dropped to freezing in the same day.
Michigan has had snow reported every month except maybe August( over the years). It is like 8-9 months of crappy weather & if you are lucky maybe 2-3 months of warm weather.
@@shirleybalinski4535 I know what you mean. Minnesota also has had snow recorded in every month except July (even then, I have heard multiple firsthand accounts of seeing snow in July in Northern Minnesota). Michigan gets more snow, but the wind in northwest Minnesota is horrendous. I’ve seen a three week long ground blizzard in January.
Our first hard freeze here in eastern West Virginia generally occurs in mid-October, so right on schedule. If those temp maps pan out, it'll be upper 20's for highs on Tuesday in the mountains above 4,000 ft. in central WV.
Same here in my area of PA, that first killing frost coming around the 20th of October. I remember wearing long johns for trick-or-treat, and snow in November through February.
@@abarn9541 I remember too, but now that seems to be the exception, while 50° all winter is becoming the rule. Hopefully this winter is some semblance of normal for a change. I swear I'm going to puke if it's 75° on Thanksgiving and 65° on Christmas day, lol.
I'm in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and it's been nice and cold here, too. New England has had a terrible winter or lack of winter if you wanna be correct. Maybe this winter will be different

Yikes, I used to live in Arizona and remember the heat well. It would be 126° when I got off from working on the REZ in July. Didn't really cool down till December. @DirectWeather has been forecasting heat for the west and southwest for the past couple of weeks; from the last week of September through this week, actually ~
@@scribe53 That’s true, but I grew up in Appalachia. They’re a different breed up there. They’ll bounce back quicker than ya think. Most I know have a glass half full mentality and don’t consider themselves victims to anything or anybody. Most of my prayers have been for my Appalachian brethren ✊
So what caused the unusually large tornadoes in south central Florida? We get frequent small tornadoes during hurricanes that appear and disappear very fast and before they are detected. But never large long track tornadoes. I’m a fifth generation Floridian. Was it the stationary front or the offshore Atlantic low?
Next week we are not done with FL Weather yet. They said that Nadine will hit South Florida if it Forms then yes. And Nadine will bring strong tornadoes 🌪️, Flooding and Damaging Winds to only South Florida. Central and Northern Florida will Take a break from it.
In Western Montana, we have barely seen any frost, and not even a hint of snow, but snow is not overdue until All Hallow’s Eve. Still, some crops growing that are usually harvested by now.
I have seriously played Golf 12 months a year here in Fort Worth Texas. It gets really Cold once for about a week then warms up the next week to mid to upper 60s and boom .. I’m playing Golf . I have coats I haven’t put on in years . I mostly wear a zip up hoodie all winter.
Your lucky if you really want to know what cold weather feels like all you have to do is head up north, you’ll be heading back south to Texas real quick.
Here in October, mother nature still thinks it's September with the peak of hurricane season occurring now and triple-digit heat expected in Texas this weekend.😡😡😡
Hopefully there are enough donations for the families who were affected during Helene and Milton. This is really bad timing for cold weather to be blasting through those areas.
Months early where? I live in a Northern New England State and the weather has been for the most part pretty farn warm for October we've usually had atleast freezing rain by now or even snow and we did two days ago for like five minutes.... it was like 70 today,Oct 11 Cool at nite around 42 I haven't even turned the Heat on yet. Maybe next week in the cold snap. We usually have snow on or before Halloween.
Learn something about history. Climate has changed many times over worse than anything we have seen. What we have is a normal change. It has nothing to do with fossil fuels. It's just another way of control and some are getting rich off it.
From what I can gather, it’s like a definite maybe Another weather channel says that something is going to happen only they’re not sure what it’s going to be. God forbid another hurricane or just rain But it’s too early to tell
Good morning, I have a question that's not particularly related to this forecast and that is; there are two hurricanes in the Atlantic now that are heading east, the opposite direction of typical hurricanes, which I don't think I've ever seen before. I've seen him head northeast as they follow the Gulfstream, but not in this fashion. Why do you think that is? Thank you very much.
PREPARE NOW...for more mostly delightful weather. The lowest high that I see next week for where I am in Ohio is 56 on Tuesday. There's nothing the least bit "abnormal" to see high temps in the 50s in mid-October.
@@jackiemansfield8325Nobody would leave paradise willingly people only leave if they got priced out, the rich love Hawaii a bunch of the land in Hawaii is owned by billionaires.
Oh goodie. I think I know where hell is I don’t see anything like this happening anywhere else in the world that isn’t an American territory except for war zones
Artic blast, cooling, start cool, warm - no mention of temperatures - Arctic blast - does that mean freezing temps - common cooling to, warming to, expected temps.........
It looks like the first strong cold front is heading towards Montana it’s going to cool down temperatures drastically the highs will go from the 70s and cool all the way down into the 50s and even all the way down into the 40s and low temperatures will freeze into the 30s and 20s unfortunately winter is coming could even snow next week my weather app keeps saying for precipitation that the next expected is .3 wintry mix on Thursday I’m really hoping it doesn’t snow hopefully the weather app changes before than I’m not looking forward to the cold crap one bit!
Ha, it was 40° in my robe having coffee 5am this morning. Hit a sunny 65° this afternoon around 2:30pm. By 5, I had a sweater on, rn 9:30 pm ish, I have a sweatshirt on 51°. 😄 I think it's because of the continuing Geomagnetic storm~
Florida is not getting any arctic blasts. The oceans off our coast will stay warm enough to feed hurricanes all winter. We can not handle cold weather.
Did you check your local app? 🤔 It's on the way. This coming Sunday night, my Naperville friends say it's going down to the mid 30°s on Sunday nite and daytime mid 50's thru next week as @DirectWeather just forecast 😗😄
not early freezing, more normal for 40 years ago.. we always got first frost around Sept.20th , not for decades.. get over it...and hurricanes will be like this going forward all over the world.. GLTA
