I never use wood working plans only because i like to design my projects myself. Barndoor projects are pretty simple to design. The hard part is getting the slider installed on the wall. Thanks for watching and if you subscribed thank you as well.
Thank you for the video. There is also a floor guide to install, of which there are two options. One fastens to the wall trim, comes out under the front of the door and has a vertical axle roller on the outside. The other fastens to the floor like a shark fin that rides in a slot routed along the bottom of the door.
Hi everyone, this is not my usual tech video but every three or four months I like to do a video that is not technology related. I really love woodworking so I hope you enjoy this video. I used redwood to make my barn door but you can use whatever wood you like. If you have any questions please leave them in the comments down below. Thanks for watching and don't forget to give a thumbs and subscribe!
Nice, I would done the same but its difficult getting old barn door wood in Las Vegas. I like redwood because it has a lot of character and it doesn't need any staining. Thanks for watching and if you subscribed thank you as well.
Or when applying epoxy too....haha. Those fumes are super strong. I will wear a mask next time. Thanks for watching and if you subscribed thank you as well.
@@UltimateTechHub when one tag is on tool still, i wouldnt question it. when all tags are on tool still, i know theres something going on! love it!! and door is badass btw!! looks so majestic, couldnt think of a better word, lol, when it towers over your family like that, with the high ceilings. fine work!
@@UltimateTechHub and that shot of price tag with the 2X6X10 cedar boards at HD......was taken pre covid, around january 2020, right before prices went criminal, was an affordable $16!!!!!!! effin $16!!!! it literally makes me angry! they are exactly 280% higher in price now. 14 months later. $45!!! what a freakin' joke! so much for having a therapeutic hobby you can enjoy doing to let yourself decompress,,,,,, now you have take a 2nd mortgage or hock your tools to get enough wood to build a birdhouse. sorry, had to vent after seeing that price tag! lol. it really is criminal.
@@TuanBui-yp7oz Thanks so much for the kind words. We love our barn door and still works great and makes the room feel warm and cozy which is what my wife says all the time...Lol.
Yep a 9 foot barn door is way more expensive. But the wood was only 160 and it's a very solid door. We tried to buy a barndoor but I'm not paying 800 of 1000. Thanks for watching.
