Blizzard was allowed to ignore the subscription income that they would have get because of all the people that bought the AH Dinosaur. It's their way to say thank you! :3
Blizzard is doing the right thing! Those who want T2 gears are often players who played 20 years ago. If they were students back then they are now busy with their life and dealing with all challenges, the most precious thing for them is “Time”, why make it hard for them if they are your loyal fan who pays the same monthly subscription?
Idk after you get your a set the cost is discounted and the event goes on for 3 months, if you don't have time to log in and hit a few dungeons or world bosses every week, i feel like you really don't have time to play or enjoy the event at all anyway. It feels like getting 10 for a world boss kill and 10 for just world quests you would have been doing anyway makes the event less special, as explained in the video event quests are still 3 tokens and Khaz Algar busy work has all been buffed.
@@Fenrisdog999 WoW players who complain because they are not milked hard enough and WoW does not consume everything of their real life. They still exist even after 20 years. 😂
@@Ulfberth Diminishing rewards from the event and making Khaz Algar busy work 6x as rewarding makes 0 sense. You have all the time in the world to do the quests .. stop pretending it's consuming your life. This is like saying going to the Darkmoon Faire is consuming your life or something... The Darkmoon Faire and Anniversary events are special because you can't get every single thing by doing busy work outside of the zone but with this event you can get everything now easily by doing tasks that are completely unrelated and the rewards aren't even exclusive. But i feel like what you're doing is a pretty disingenuous strawman, how is playing during the 20th anniversary and actually wanting to have fun goals to hit that i don't get randomly by doing content i was already doing "getting milked" and "consuming everything of my real life"".
Oh yeah...its great when you select a toon to main during the release then they nerf you every week for a month because they are incompetent. Really great.
But they're only releasing these events bad on purpose so they can 'fix' it a week later and say " look we listen to feedback ", they did it with mop remix, pre patch and now the anniversary event
@@Liofa73 do you think they would prefer to waste your time and theirs by rushing out fixes? No, they are running out alot of content in a short space of time, this comes with an inherent risk of getting this wrong. My point remains the same, I'm happier with more content and updates that weeks and months without anything even if it means more hotfixes until they refine their process
Man, blizzard really has an issue with events like this. They have so many sources of tokens but it’s impossible to know them all or keep track of the ones you’ve completed or not. They’re bad at adding in game UI elements to track these things. I’m always so overwhelmed with all the options for obtaining these types of things…
to @BeaBearur's point - I feel like it might be better for us to just go about our weekies/normal routines within WoW and we'll acquire the necessary amounts of coins. Especially with the coin buff! As you mentioned there are way too many routes to get coins and it feels daunting. But if one just does their normal list of chores its a lot easier to comprehend and you end up still getting a lot :) best of luck!
@@Paragonx89 That's what I've decided to do. I know I'll have plenty of time to get everything I want but I'd still like to min/max it so I can get it done as quickly as possible. Though, without some sort of tracker for each source, I've just done what you've said.
@@Visher if it helps, i spent maybe 8 hours since tuesday doing all my weeklies + normal Nerub and BRD raids and I've gotten four t2 xmogs. I think I have maybe another 15 or so tokens available somewhere in the world for this week (not including PvP) but once you buy your 3rd set it really frees up a lot of opportunity to get more! Mostly because the 2nd set is 40, then everything after that is 20 tokens. Kinda big. Good luck! At this rate people will likely max out all their rewards within the next couple weeks haha
I already bought two T2 sets with yesterday's reset, only by doing the celebration events quests, the world event quest from Dornagol, the delves weekly quest and killing the Queen in LFR. At this pace, I'll get them all, especially because the second one was 40 coins, not 60 like the first one. TY Blizz, us casuals can still unlock stuff. Oh and I unlocked the ice griffon, the ice deathwing version and the griffon that you get with legacy coins. Still no headless horseman horse..
@@UltimateGamerCCsure sure, cattle. Since youre so devoid of any ability to think, ill help you: this reward buff only affects lvl 80, the required for the quests in Khaz'algar. So if you buy the expansion today or at release and youre playing the "up to date", youll be receiving the clown treatment until youre 80. Tbf, thats a treatment you guys deserve.
1:40 Preserving Teamwork was actually confirmed to NOT give any Bronzes just yesterday, after the reset. It appears *some* PvP quests do not have the reward attached, but there's plenty of other (read: much, much easier) ways to get the 100 for farmable Bronzes now anyways.
I think they should just make those bronze token things be that every boss from every time walking dungeon drops like two or three of them. Hell even just one would be an improvement
Nope. The vast majority of the players will not worry about having to max out every activity every week to get this limited time collection. Especially during the holiday season.
Game should have more content to begin with. WW shipped with less content than any expansion before it. I dont blame the players bitching about lack of content. They are getting ripped off.
I still have to encounter a single player that enjoys/enjoyed the "new" raid. Doesn't matter if you can get 100+ tokens, if the content isn't fun, a lot of people, including me, won't do it.
I have a seen a lot of people complain about the whole 20th anniversary event. I was certainly expecting more from them after 20 years. Just a bunch of freebies would have been fine. Not a grind that tries to keep you subbed for three months.
Small correction, it's not any difficulty ABOVE LFR for Queen Ansurekk, it's INCLUDING LFR. Did her last night in LFR and got 15 celebration currency for it.
making the anniversary events more interesting would be the way to go, not reward you for doing the regular stuff. then dont bother creating any seasonal event ever again...
Juist did the 1500 honor in Epic BG quest, it did NOT give tokens. Also, "Something Different" sometimes say 15 tokens when you first get it, but your quest log says only 8, and you only receive 8 when you turn it in.
It appears that the bonus bronze tokens only apply if you currently have "The War Within" expansion. I currently don't have it and cannot get any extras from PVP, Timewalking Dungeons, or any other way. Only the dailies in Tanaris give me tokens as a level 70.
Most epic trading post month for like 1 year now and i got 50 tender... Its so stupid that we are not able to get most of the items, just give us something to farm blizz.. Those who want the mog items etc will get it, dont make us have to choose and regret.
@@mothman84 Aye, and the " well just wait a year or two and maybe we will reintroduce the item " Either just add items to a neverending list, or give us the ability to get more tender is what im thinking. :D
The change did come through but the actual rewards of the events are only 2-3 tokes you get tons of tokes outside the event like doing theater trope and dornagal weekelies
Still waiting for Felscar demonhunter to be fixed. If you eyebeam after meta, you wont proc demonsurge. The fact that is STILL in the game is a problem. I got no faith in them fixing anything.
The update is amazing, I hardcore nolifed the game today/yesterday when writing this and I ended my day with 7 of the sets bought and half way to 2 more one on an alt and one on main.
I logged in earlier, it still shows in the Quest Log the old values for the Bronze Celebration Tokens so I'm not sure if they reward the new or the old amounts of tokens
these changese seem pretty stupid. Why only increase the rewards on max lv? Codex of chromie dont reward tokens on the second time as well as timewalking dungens dont reward tokens when ur below lv. 80. Its good that for the lv. 80 stuff they increase it but why not just increase it overall? This way u can only play lv 80 charas to get the rewards. Again it feels like they dont really think things through and do their work halfassed
I don't see this as a "Good" thing if I actually look at it the way Blizzard was intending. Blizzard was hoping people interacted with the event throughout January. Now, you can get every token reward before the first week of November is over and thats sad as most people will then never interact with the celebration after that. So finding groups for things will be impossible for things like world bosses, chromie crap, etc... The whole idea was to get the rewards by interacting with the event throughout January, but of course, blizz community want stuff now now now.
The whole idea was to reward people that have been playing for 20 years. I am no longer a kid. I got job, wife and other shit to do. Armor sets are specifically for us old farts who loved those sets. Making us grind forever for a set we already have that is only graphically updated is a joke on itself, but at least not make us grind for it for months. These items have no impact on gameplay, sdo there is no need to make them hard to get in any way. Also events are boring after few runs. The only thing interesting is world bosses because you are flying around world with big raid. Yea. I want my bloodfang update now now now now. I earned it most likely long before you even started playing WoW. They should have updated old tier sets a LOOOOONG time ago without any grind required to it. Its a 20 years anniversary man.... It is not new grind or some shit, ITS A FUCKING 20 YEARS ANNIVERSARY. You know how long some of us have been paying subs and buying expansions? The rewards should be plenty and easy to get and not gatekept for sweaty tryhards.
they should put follower AI players to fill roles when you do obsolete content like old raids or few weeks after release of new content like legacy anniversary raids. love doing follower dungeons for the weekly quest. no stress, just fun. with delves success it's harder to find players for group content.
@@vasilije94 How is wanting players to play the content during the duration of the event gatekeeping? Asking players to play the event for more than a week or 2 is not creating a grind or making the items hard to get, its asking the bare minimum. Why even have the event last 3 months if everything is over in 2 weeks with 99% of the player base? I got a job and wife and I have been playing since BC and probably older than you lol, I still feel that they went too far with this.
@@vasilije94 The event is going until January, what is your point? And funny you talk about gatekeeping and your the only one doing that here acting like 3 years of playtime makes you in any way superior to me lol.
Not sure if I'm alone here, as I do collect mogs, but I primarily collect mounts. So this month I am not getting anything from the Trading Post, but saving the currency for when Blizz keep dropping TWO mounts a month. Cuz that is not irritating at all... Also the event is just Timewalking currency for me. Nabbing a couple of mounts and I'm done, as the gear level is useless for me as well. I seem to remember you said in a previous video that there were some more mounts, but they disappeared from the vendor? What's happening with that? So should I play for the currency in case Blizz whip them out like a bunny from a hat when the event is almost over and I have no currency? I have limited time to play and sometimes it gets very difficult to plan how I can use my time in the most effective way.
I really love the tradingpost, however.. The tokens you get are way to low compared to the stuff you can buy.. So much stuff I want but can't get since I don't want to be short next month :C
Love your content and I appreciate your contribution to the community. Unfortunately do to the amount of frustration and punishment this season I am removing all my subs from my RU-vid. I get so much anxiety and frustration from M+ and the 8 +10 keys, 90 crests, and the dozens of hours needed just to have a spot on a raid team or to get into a raid team. Gearing is not enjoyable and I've left a couple guilds just because of how they distribute gear. I spend 20 minutes getting into keys and then they fail. After a couple hours of having other people fail the key I am overwhelmingly frustrated and I cannot outplay other players failures. M+ is too punishing and required too much. I hate spending hours getting no reward every week and then filling my vault just to be disappointed. I need to take a break and I'm removing all my subs just so I dont' get reminded of the game. I'll probably come back when things change, but for now I need to purge this punishing game out of my life. Thank you for all you do big dawg
@Liofa73 never understood players that can do that. Feels like some kind of compulsion to max out every class and do all the content that many times. I can't imagine how numb that person must feel
Well that’s nice. I’ve been playing ff14 instead so I’m actually going to play war within now. I agree with others that making the anniversary event more of an option would be so better!
So a few days ago you were gushing about how the event was SOOO GREAT and now you're saying it 'got off to a rocky start?' man, kelani, have a spine and stand by your word.
The 20th-anniversary event still stinks with these changes. Unless you have TWW, you're screwed when it comes to getting bronze tokens. I returned earlier this autumn and have been casually playing a new level-locked character through all previous expansions in Chromie time (because I missed out on several of them). There is barely anything to do for tokens on my part, and according to forums, I'm not alone in feeling left out. Even the Hallow's End event is more fun than the 'great' 20th-anniversary one. It's clear where Blizzard's priorities lie. First, they launched an event that will favour those who have bought TWW, and then they released a $90 store mount. How hard could it be to create some events for those without TWW? Unless they add something soon, I'll just forget about the whole event.
This is the change i needed honestly... i was tryi g to figure out how i was going to be able to help my 9 year old daughter get the dragonstalker set because its the only thing she really wants for her army of hunters.
Guarantee they made such a gigantic change to the tokens earned through kaz and pvp weeklys because they realized that almost no players were partaking in the anniversary "activities"
Not increasing the event rewards punishes the players still subscribed, but that don't have time to play the current content. Feels bad for those of us who have been with Blizzard for decades, and are older with more responsibilities and less time. But I guess that's Blizzard - frequently making their players feel disrespected.
Every WoW event gets off to a "rocky start" nowadays. Browsing forums, reddit and watching a few youtube videos, it seems people are kind of over the event already. It's just not that exciting.
Good. Nurf everything. The game should be incredibly EASY by default - mixmaxxer competitive esports and nolifer grinding should be something you opt in to.
typical blizzard, never hitting the spot. First week people gets to little bronze tokens - the next week they are giving away hundreds of them for no effort
6:10 Not Heroic, no. I disagree. The event should be tuned so the vast amount of players can appreciate and experience it on a normal difficulty. This is straight-up ignorant. You're saying "Let's nerf Heroic so much anyone can do it and basically leave the only thing making it Heroic the loot." Remember, this event will last almost the entirety of the rest of this tier. We're probably already going to see engagement fall off hard during the last part of the first tier due to the gear kickstart that the anniversary event is funneling to players, which will speed up progression for many players.
What's the change? It was correctly advertised from the start that once you get your first 100, _then_ tokens start dropping from repeatable activities. I'm at 70 tokens, and I get no tokens from repeatable activities. The PvP quest on Week 2 is a slap in the face of all those who don't do PvP, btw, and a further time gate. Win, not participate. 10 matches, not 3, not 5. Totally unnecessary. And that's supposed to be fun. Sure. Blizzard, as usual.
Step 1: Cry about not getting enough tokens. Step 2: Blizzard gives more Tokens. Step 3: Get everything you need 3x faster and then cry that you're bored with the game. Step 4: Cry that the next major patch is taking too long to get here. Congratulations, you're a WOW subscriber!
Am i the only person that looks forward to content luls most? that's when i can stop doing weekly chores and just hit up old content that offers mogs/mounts i want. It's when i dedicate some time to pvp and pile up gold when im not feeling anything else. but yea you're right. that does seem to be the average wow sub
Step1: Missing that there are different players with different wants. Step 2: Think chromie codex is the same as a new raid tier. Step:3: Deluding yourself into thinking people are going to complain about having to do less chromie codex. Step4: Now that you are completely deluded you can feel superior to the fictional player you created.
I hoped for a buff but such a big one is really cool 😂 after i had the 100 i take my mains to clear the raid & ansurek and now i just blast timewalking inis with lvl chars - fastest way and every dung gives 2 so why not 😂
8:30 That is so weak. What's next, the Doomplate as an in-game shop item? I hate this 'nothing is sacred' mentality the devs seem to have anymore. To me, this is very similar to making the Kor'kron Dark SHAMAN'S Vestments available for xmog on any class, as well as the 3-piece class ensembles.
AFAIK, players like me who returned for the Anniversary, but didn't buy TWW are still totally screwed. I think the total was 18 tokens per week only doing the repeatable event weeklies in Tanaris with 31 tokens from the first week due to the one time quests. Which would be 5 weeks before getting more than 100 tokens.
@@alfredgreybeard Don't be obtuse. Paying for the subscription IS the entry ticket. They don't severely cripple the ability to get rewards for players with the base game during other events like Holiday events, timewalking or pre-patch events. I'm not asking to be able to amass 100 tokens in 1 week like if you have TWW. However having to play for 5 weeks to get there is ridiculous. Especially with something as "grand" as a 20th anniversary. You'd think they'd want to encourage as many players to return and have a good experience showcasing how they are now "respecting players' time" and being alt-friendly etc like they claimed to the media.
I'm not saying this is bad, but like... typical Blizzard balancing. First they release something completely undertuned and now they overtune it LOL Went from being able to collect everything in 2-3 months to completing it in 1-2 weeks and never interacting with it again. They just can't balance anything right.
Maby they should start listening to beta input for once... EVERY SINGLE CONTENT release they have to make changes afterwards. And ofc PVP gets all the love again and get more rewards... that needs to change.
@miguelp8086 well I've been out of it since pandaria, and I can't say they always did. Then again they didn't absolutely wipe progression groups and make week by week based class stacking a thing either so what do I know of the new blizzard. 😂
