Massive Crowds | North Cascades | Autumn Landscape Photography 

For this trip, I venture on a four-hour drive to the North Cascades. Given this is a holiday weekend, there are massive crowds at the Rainy Pass Trailhead for the Heather Maple Pass loop. Managing this amount of people is a challenge in any time, but during the COVID-19 pandemic it is especially challenging. While most had face coverings and wore them, some did not. Keeping physically distanced on the trail wasn’t too much of a challenge, so the overall exposure seems low.
I was rewarded with really nice light on some distant larch trees, and the late afternoon view of Lake Ann was very nice.
