@@deermeatfordinner hey Rob if you want to try curry iguana south caribbean style.. try and collaborate with this RU-vidr ...the iguana man...love your videos and your family...God bless!
I absolutely love iguana's, worked with them for years with my education projects, BUT you have to remember that in places like Florida they're so invasive and have to be culled to protect the environment. If people would stop releasing unwanted pets then we wouldn't have these problems. I don't think I could eat one personally, but I must admit that looked delicious
@Pagliacci while that story might be true, people releasing animals are part of the problem as well. Same thing goes for all the invasive fish species. Lion fish, Oscar fish, Mayan cichlids, clown knife, etc. All of those fish species were released by idiotic people into the lakes, ponds and ocean.
@@iAmLegend22GS i can understand that certain animals can drastically change an ecosystem on earth but how bad could fish be....i mean those which you named of course.
Our family is loving your videos! First one we watched was snake river, found your video looking for good ways to cook a trout! So happy we did! Thank you for taking us along on all your adventures!! God Bless you and your beautiful family🎣
You're amazing! How many of us dads have kids who would go hungry because we don't know how to hunt and prepare meat? Thanks for sharing this with us! God bless you and your beautiful family!
Best Mario Game Clips I know about this pill my wife had third stage breast cancer it helps the chemo medicine makes everything taste different bad it’s why they don’t eat they just can’t because of the taste
African Berry: Synsepalum dulcificum is a plant in the Sapotaceae family known for its berry that, when eaten, causes sour foods (such as lemons and limes) subsequently consumed to taste sweet. This effect is due to miraculin. Common names for this species and its berry include miracle fruit, miracle berry, miraculous berry, sweet berry, and in West Africa, where the species originates, agbayun, taami, asaa, and ledidi. The berry itself has a low sugar content and a mildly sweet tang. It contains a glycoprotein molecule, with some trailing carbohydrate chains, called miraculin. When the fleshy part of the fruit is eaten, this molecule binds to the tongue's taste buds, causing sour foods to taste sweet. At neutral pH, miraculin binds and blocks the receptors, but at low pH (resulting from ingestion of sour foods) miraculin binds proteins and becomes able to activate the sweet receptors, resulting in the perception of sweet taste. This effect lasts until the protein is washed away by saliva (up to about 30 minutes).
This might seem weird but i had a pet Iguana too and he was so awesome, he was basically a cat lol. Thinking of that makes me feel awful watching this video.
The alligator in the living room is badass haha congrats man youve built a beautiful life, beautiful kids, wife, home, lifestyle, one day ill have the same
The name of the berry: Synsepalum dulcificum is a plant in the Sapotaceae family known for its berry that, when eaten, causes sour foods (such as lemons and limes) subsequently consumed to taste sweet. It CAN be ordered online.
Well, Rob, I gotta say. What I've learned so far you're absolutely giving your girls the best possible lifestyle for cognitive development. Lots of exposure to different things, tastes, environments. Love it
I love how you include your daughters on some of your hunts. I do the same with mine, she gets so excited Everytime we get a hog. She's 8 now but she's been helping me clean them for the last couple years.
Mike Yeah it’s good bonding, except my family doesn’t hunt and I personally couldn’t hunt, but a couple hours south of where I live students can skip school during hunting season
I always love your content !! It’s adventurous, educational, and inspirational. Keep doing it brother may God continue to bless you and your family in all of your endeavors!
I don’t know how I got hooked on it but I’m hookkked on this show you even got me going out trying to catch fish 🎣 you blue Gabe and the whole family I send my blessings
@@deermeatfordinner I like iguana it's pretty good I have a funny story about how we got the one I tried so we were coming home from home depot and my grandpa was driving he said that he wanted to try iguana so I said I would get him one and we were almost home and you go down a long road it's like 400 yards and in the middle there is a s curve and we stopped cuz one was in the road then all the sudden he floors it and we hear thud, thud then he slammed on the brakes he got it right on the head surprisingly enough so we took it home and ate it I liked it alot but that was his way of hunting iguanas 🤣🤣
Hey, big fan here, from the sunny island of Jamaica, we are curry artists, here’s a top to Make you curry iguana badass, marinate your meat overnight, include in your seasoning rub two tbsp curry powder to two pounds meat, when sautéing , add another half tbsp to the hot oil, that curry will penetrate the meat and boooom!!
I am a African-American an you taught me and showed me a lot I know how to clean deer squirrels but gator you showed me how to do that and you showed me how to clean a gar fish man I watches you a lot
Hunting and cooking iguana reminds me of the time my uncle I, hunted and cooked monitor lizards. Taste just like chicken. IMO, the best way to cook them is adobo style. People who don't eat exotic animals, don't know what they're missing. Can't wait for the next video.
If you want Rid of a pest... & someone offers to do it for free... I'd let them take it with them too. That's basically what happened! The farmer wanted rid of those 2 large ones. Looked like some good eating! I've had Rabbit Turtle & frog legs... iguana looked like chicken when he finished in the pan😜🤔
I enjoyed the show. While growing up on the island of Trinidad and Tobago we eat curry iguanas. I'm glad to see you not just killing them, but you eat them. Cleaning them is important.
I am grateful to have your “humor” in life now. Finally, watched another one. Last one was years ago, cooking coconut crabs. You are a good man, your wife is too nice, she puts up with you and you all love the Lord. God bless you, each.
I introduced my 5 year old daughter to your shows and she has fallen in love with them. As soon as the notification pops up she comes running to get me so we can watch your content
Amazing channel! I enjoyed the rawness of it. Try a curry recipe with coconut milk, it's pretty good with chicken and I think it would be great with lizard meat as well. From where I'm originally from (Palawan, Philippines), monitor lizards, which are like a smaller version of komodo dragon, are pests and I think I've had it when I was just a kid. Coconut milk and curry are also great with crocodile meat. Just gotta make sure the meat is tender nd seasoned well.
When I was growing up I would get up early on the weekend to watch bill dance Jimmy Houston Roland Martin. now that I'm older I still get up to watch hunting and fishing videos but I watch deer meat for dinner .
next time you do a curry add some coconut milk to it, that would really add flavor and aroma to your curry! i'm truly excited to see the video with the curried iguana done, i love cooking curried iguanas here when season opens!
Being from Izabal Guatemala, where we used to hunt and eat iguanas 🦎 to the point of extinction unfortunately, (thank God the Guatemalan government finally protected the species and they are coming back), I was hoping that you cook them and eat them and not to waste them , and you did! I congratulate you for being a great farmer, hunter and chef! Now Naranja 🍊 Grande lives in you!😁. We also cook them in curry 🍛. We have two types of currying, coconut 🥥 base (iguana en coco) and iguana in alguashte (ground pumping seed gravy). Both are delicious!
You know there are different species of iguana, right? Green iguana is the subject of this video - they have never been under threat of extinction anywhere and are invasive in the US.
@@anderssanderson4073 Yes I know. The reason that they are abundant in US is because the majority of people don’t eat them, but in other regions is different. I know because I saw it first hand!
To those that don't know. We see iguanas in Florida as often as we see tourist. I live near 163 in North Miami Beach and we see them everyday. So thanks to the you for doing your part to control them.
I’m such a binge watcher! Lol. I love it! I’m up here I. Maryland, but my family is down in the bayou and over in Galveston. I love the water. Being on it, and everything that comes out of it fills my cup! Thank you for this channel. Your love for God just oozes out of every episode. Such a blessing
Mad respect to you washing your meat! Every time I tell people I wash mine they give me some smack about cross contamination and the FDA. My people been washing our meat forever, not gonna change!
@@deermeatfordinner OMG is there a way I can get the "uncut".No Pun intended! LOL version? That was sooooo hilarious . holding that tail and its wiggling back and fourth! LOL. That would take grand prize Funniest home videos. 100k!
I love these guys. They have such a great channel. You can watch all day and never be bored and tons of great content. I want to hunt some iguana bad. I haven't had a chance yet, but its coming. Too busy diving right now.
Stumbled across your channel after Matt from Demolition Ranch gave you a shout out. This was cool. Looking forward to checking out more of your content 👏
Sucking on a lemon slice after eating miracle fruit tastes like lemonade with WAY too much sugar. It's a lot of fun and only lasts about 30 minutes or so.
I don't hunt, I don't dress animals after they've been Hunted, I barely have the stomach to clean fish anymore. But I dig watching your clips. There entertaining, informative, adventurous, humorous. You got me man!
A tip on the curry, in Asia we tend to use the roux on any protein and veggies and fry it with it as that brings out more flavor. So next time, make the roux first. And also never had butternut squash and don't think I want it in my curry, sub carrots instead. :)
I am smiling from ear to ear, just as if I'm in your kitchen with you having some of this tasty looking meal. Appreciate your video mush. Kind regards, Loswanson.
