I'm pretty sure everything about Kuma was just 1 whole sin together, and the other one was continuing the legacy of Ohara, since the world views them negative as per the WG propaganda.
I have always thought that Skyisland was the entire story of One Piece in miniature. So Enru would be a similar being to Imu. Just as Enru wanted to destroy Sky Island because it is "unnatural" and go to the moon maybe Imu wants to destroy the One Piece world not just for more power but because he wants to return the world to its "natural" state.
A small correction. A direct translation of Imu's lines reveal that the Mother Flame is only purported to be made by Vegapunk. "という" means purportedly. This is important because I believe the Mother Flame is something Vegapunk found. A living flame made from the fires of Elbaf.
@@derrickmiles5240 I agree. I believe Imu / World Govt has seized the technology of the nation they fought and allegedly won, but lack the capability to reproduce the necessary energy. Here, I would turn my eyes towards the importance of Luffy's transformation and its effects on the iron giant on Egghead. It started moving on its own after Luffy transformed, meaning the source of limitless energy is naturally connected towards the selfsame Joyboy and its effects to its surroundings. Joyboy radiates SOMETHING that the ancient kingdom was capable of harnessing into technology as fuel. What is it? It must be something that Imu has failed to comprehend as a possibility. It must be something that is innate to at least Joyboy. The capability to "fire people up" is somehow transformed into a tangible source of LIMITLESS energy, and I believe it must be somehow linked in the limitlessness of imagination, creation or something immaterial. Vegapunk might have or might not have realized that the ancient kingdom has had this limitless source of energy, and made it into his dream to realize this once more - henceforth believed in Joyboy. Now once more, turn your head towards the iron giant, which climbed the Red Line 200 years ago. The discrimination of fishmen also ended 200 years ago. There is an apology to Joyboy on Fishman Island, meaning there is a clear connection with fishmen, their liberation and the use of The Ancient Kingdom's technology. It might be that Luffy's fruit has been used in the past to power up the iron giant to threaten Imu or discuss the liberation of fishmen's position with him. Who knows, this sounds too complex. But I do firmly believe that the person who did such a thing is of the selfsame family tree that the person who apologized Joyboy represents, might have been a previous line of fishman kings or some deep sympathizer towards their species. I believe the iron giant played a pivotal role on the liberation of fishmen.
Nobody of the Roger Pirates & The Red Hair Pirates have devil fruit powers, Rayleigh has got a job as boat coater and Crocos wants to live inside a whale... They all knew :D
What bugs me is that even though Vegapunk referred to the Gorousei and Imu, people of the world are more likely to think that Luffy was the one who did it.
But thats technically also an outplay, now the government cant really blame Luffy for whats going on without Vegapunks message "absolving" him and when it comes to the WG, people will know that not every marine is evil and blame those in charge.
They were gonna believe the WGs lies on luffy but they will believe vegapunks words more now since the timing of the broadcast happened post lulusia after effects, had the broadcast occured b4 lulusia's destruction, luffy would be the most hated man in the world except by his allies
The One Piece world being similair to Windwaker makes so much sense looking at the geography and the mysteries of the world. The ancient kingdom rests under the sea!
One piece is combination of many stories the top stories are the vikings, estabon the gold treasure, indian mythology(hanuman), greek mythology, china mythology ( sengoku and monk uroge), Japan mythology (so many are connected),windwaker, etc oda just created a universe.
@@evoxghirettihinting that perhaps the One Piece world used to be one large continent before the flooding started What if the one piece this entire time was literally "one piece" of land that connects the entire world?
Farfetched theory. "The Will of D." where D. may be something related to "Diluvian". The Ancient Kingdom that was destroyed in the first flood. The Drowned City. The age old theory that it may be Atlantis. It could suggest a connection to cataclysmic events or a lineage deeply tied to the upheavals and transformations of the current world, possibly indicating a role in shaping the post-apocalyptic/submerged world of the One Piece universe.
@@sengoku_fin I never said they want to. I am saying they were probably drowned in the initial flood. And The Will of D. is for them to shape the new world (May it be after the world sinks or not).
I don’t think Imu is the one planning to sink the world, I believe the way he worded it implies it’s a natural occurrence. Vega Punk said it as a matter of fact, not something that’ll possibly happen if the world government isn’t stopped. The same discovery must’ve been made during the void century and Imu and Joyboy disagreed on how to handle the issue, leading to the war. In other words, Imu thinks he’s saving the world, which would also explain why the Nefatari sided with him at the start. My theory is the world is naturally sinking and there’s no stopping it, can only be delayed. Explains why Vega Punk doesn’t call them evil. Imu’s method for delaying the sinking is creating giant holes in the ocean to drain water, in his eyes it’s a necessary evil. Joyboy disagreed with this leading to the war. Just my wild theory atm
@@danielgeisler4978 doesn’t make any sense though, the rise due to an earthquake should be temporary, water is being displaced not added so it should be settling down again. Would make sense if the hole is an opening to a larger ocean under the mantel but if that were the case the hole would be covered. Will hold out for a better explanation, but creating a hole in the ocean should not result in rising levels. Unless there’s a persisting effect caused by the weapon that is forcing water away from the hole
@@danielgeisler4978 I read 1114, and understand that as VP saying the earthquake is not a natural occurrence, which it obviously isn’t. But that does not rule out the entire world sinking being a natural occurrence.
also worth noting that other allies of the ancient kingdom/ joy boy (lunarians - red line) and skypia (shandians) were also probably safe from the past flood
How Come did the lunarians safe from the flood?... they literally all being wiped Out and literally only King left of his own kind race in onepiece world
You've already seen Uranus. Enel has Maxim under his command. Where'd he know how to build one? He came through Birka (of Earth) and destroyed the island in the process. The Birka (of Moon) had come to earth and settled, the story of which Enel finds out in his cover story after his defeat. Instead of Mother Flame, Enel used his ability to power up a flying weapon that could destroy islands.
@@Halcon_Sierreno a population of people got really advanced opposed to the rest of the world, the world got jealous, invaded and destroyed... wait, you said void century not current day irl😅
@@TheRealBillix Reminds me of a certain country that got out of the international financial system and became one of the most powerful in the span of 6 years, then got war declared on it by the largest powers of the world.
If you play the FF16 DLC the Mysidians are basically Lunarians (dark skin, white hair) hiding in their kingdom for hundreds of years, the final boss is Leviathan who has the power to summon Tsunamis Maybe Imu will have a similar power to a Leviathan
I have a genuine question do: right now the Revolutionaries are causing shortages in Mary Geoise by attacking their supply ships; supplies that presumably come from neighboring islands. This implies that Mary Geoise isn’t self sustaining, so if the islands sink, wouldn’t that likely lead to famine in the Red Line as we know it?
Guys guys, hold on, the gorosei are actually just really good people who care about fishmen rights a lot, so theyre giving them more water. How thoughtful of them
??? only the gyiojin insland.... HOWEVER it will be all for good, gyiojins want to go and live under the sun, so they will lose their home but will get a new home, the want they wanted for centuries.
York is such a complex character because on the one hand shes greed incarnate, but I wonder how taxing it must be to do nothing but sleep, eat, and use the bathroom all day just so everyone else can focus on their ideas and dreams. It seems outlandish to me that she’d decide to become a celestial dragon which probably isn’t too different from what she currently does all day long except she would be able to decide her purpose to some extent. There’s something sad about being a person and having had your life decided for you down to being a greedy person.
I actually think Vegapunk was trying to tell the world not to judge Luffy. He says: "Please do not assume that the ones who strike me down are evil.... Regardless of who they seem to be. I am not qualified to judge such things... And i do not know nearly enough about him in any case..." Right now the world only thinks that Luffy is about to or has kidnapped Vegapunk if i remember right. Then they are told that this message will only play when his heart stops beating. Now if it were me living in the One Piece world I'd imagine that Luffy then killed him. But vegapunk is saying "regardless of who they SEEM TO BE." So regardless, if it seems like Luffy killed him don't assume he's evil. Along with all the bounty photos and after Marineford he's saying don't assume Luffy is evil. Then with him stating he does not know nearly enough about him. What does Vegapunk know about Luffy to begin with? They've never met, or spoken, at least not that I'm aware of. They know of each other but do not have any intimate knowledge of each other. One more thing and this is about a theory that the Japanese channel Drop the Pizza shared over a year ago is that the poles will shift on the planet which will redistribute water, shifting everything 90°. Sinking or covering most islands and land masses and revealing other sunken areas. If I remember in the video it shows South Grave on Jaya in the East which rotated 90° puts it back in it's proper place at the southern part of Jaya. Then there's Old Wano & Impel Down now completely submerged. as well as the Tree of knowledge that has very clear indentations as if at one point it was submerged. The weapons being essentially Arks as well as the Void Century. What could cause a complete blackout for a year? Civilization losing land masses, homes, technology, infrastructure, etc then having to board an ark to find new land then resources to build, repopulate, etc. That could easily take a 100 years. A simplified video describing The pole shifts was done by GrandLineReview titled It Was Right There... He also has a link to Drop the Pizzas more in-depth review I just don't want to take credit for it or write the pages it would take to describe why it's hard to refute
I think Imu plans to flee the planet with the rest of his people. Maybe explaining the space suits and being located at the single highest place on the world
Only regular world nobles use that suit and is to not breath the same air as the commoners. So it has nothing to do with a flood since everyone would use it, but the gorosei, imu and the god knights dont use it.
I think it's pretty clear the "he" Vegapunk was referring to is Kizaru. Vegapunk knew that due to their friendship if the WG ordered Vegapunk's death Kizaru would likely insist on being the one to do it even though he wouldn't want to. And he was right, Kizaru landed the killing blow on Vegapunk. Vegapunk is refusing to pass judgement on Kizaru for killing him.
Icelandic here 🇮🇸 Hakarl or Hákarl, means shark 🦈 We eat fermented shark just like Dorry and Groggy during our "Þorrablót", "holiday. named for the month of Þorri of the historical Icelandic calendar (corresponding to mid January to mid February), and blót, literally meaning sacrifice.
@noumanabbasi9506 þorrablót is usually around late February/early march. And traditionally in the past, living in Iceland meant harsh winters. So in February, thats when most of the food rations are depleted and you need to eat the old nasty fermented stuff. The reserves. That had been either buried or preserved in urine. Thats why you curse during this day. Today its just a fun holiday where you meet family. Usually you have a cousin or two who will dare you to eat a Hákarl or Ram testicles to prove yourself. Its all good fun.
I don't think there's ever been a more thematically appropriate cover spread for a chapter called "Stalemate" than Robin using the other Straw Hats as chess pieces. And I want an actual chess set. And then play Luffy as the Queen and Nami as the King. I'm underwhelmed by Punk Records. I expected it just to be bits of grey matter everywhere, piled high in different mounds. Like a junkyard, landfill, or sand dunes of just brains. I love that this is an allegory to real life with the poles melting and rising sea levels. Also, I saw Morgans' line translated as "print news is dead.” I mean Vegapunk has now basically created radio and TV news.
With Murphy Napier implying Imu may be an Onmyodo, and the translation for Umibozu being “Sea Priest,” it wouldn’t surprise me if Imu is a Umibozu/Onmyodo hybrid.
Maybe Imu wants a cleansing to kill all df users, so their powers incarnate and with everyone dead will go back to him. So Imu, the devil itself, will have all of it's powers back, that might have been taken from him 800 years ago (or something like that).
Vegapunk was talking about Kizaru. He, Vegapunk, has advanced observation haki. I mean he is the smartest man on the planet it ahould be obvious that he would have observation haki and can achieve advanced. He foresaw Kizaru skewering him but I think Kizaru actually cauterized and defibrillated Vegapunk after Saturn skewered him first. He just could not see the first attack from Saturn.
Notice how in the map of Wano the water level is first beneath the town, and then, in the second picture, above the town. A subtle, yet important detail
When the merry is getting burned, Luffy says the bottom of the ocean is a dark and lonesome place. Can't help but think of Imu. My personal theory is still that each different race lived on their own planet, and just how Enel destroyed his home Imu destroyed theirs and then continued to move to other planets. The people wouldn't like them and consider them creepy, so Imu would destroy each planet one by one. The survivors scaring each planet as they evacuate. All Imu wanted was a friend to share some sake with, but everyone was afraid
That’s what’s confusing me the most about the sea rising after lulusia disappeared… a hole appears and water is sinking down into it… there is now LESS land and so water fills that gap/void… so wouldn’t the sea level lower instead of rise?
Also in wano there is waterfalls all around the country because it is filled with rain water, but the flow of the waterfall should stop at one point ?? I mean we have never seen rain in wano
I feel seas level is artificial higher due to imu power like high tide that never goes out. Thats how he eradicate the everyone. He is trying to to do that same thing.nowbut roger started great pirate era where everycan can live and go on boat etc
I was doing a word puzzle while watching this video and at 14:10 when you said laguna I realised that was the answer to the word I was looking for lmao
Vegapunk may mean imu and us readers would think that but his in world audience is automatically going to assume he means Luffy since the last they knew he had kinapped vegapunk. And they’d be right to think that given the context and the fact they have no idea Imu exists. The only take away they could have is that the he is Luffy.
I think imu is a umibozu, and was shown at thriller bark perhaps in a full form and ate a human human fruit a long time ago or ate a umibozu fruit gaining such powers and given zoans have multiple forms it could also be one of the few devil fruits that would actually get effected by the rising ocean because he'd be so massive
Shout out to #Black leg Vinsmoke who mentioned in one of his latest video the filler arc with the Dragons. Celestials and Mariejois is a mixture of The city nation's of Renaissance Italy and Crusade France ( Inbreed Families and Holy Knights) but the key factor is the stealing of the Bodies of Saints( Venice and Crusaders) So the fridges/tombs Imu visits are previous Joy Boys as many have speculated over the years from various races, Buccaneers and even Lunarians( possibly Roger and Rocks body is there) for the sole purpose that the C.D. are attempting to become immortal by consuming the bones of those that never feared Death while alive.Similar to the old Chinese belief that eating Dragon horns/bones is the bases for the elixir of life.
My thoughts & opinions on the chapter: 1. When reading the part where Bonney turned into a Giant, I now question if she will end up becoming a One Piece version of Rouge or Taskmaster from Marvel Comics? 2. While it was cool to see Bonney transform into a Giant, I am starting to wonder if it is really good for her character & even the story itself if she continues to imitate other people's abilities instead of coming up with her own unique fighting styles? 3. As much as I would like to know what Vegapunk really meant by how the world will sink to the ocean, will the Elders still try to convince them that the scientist is talking nonsense, or the world themselves won't really believe in Vegapunk's words?
Hey, Arthur! I feel like it's part time I tell you that I look forward to your videos the most among those in the OP community. Love your research. Thanks for sharing it with us. Keep sailing strong!
There could be also a slight different theory. Nerona could be related to Nero, o Black. If the sun is light, the moon would be the opposite. The OP world has multiple moons, which could cause a huge raising of the sea level. This could tie in the power to control the sea, with black beard feuits, the lunarians as well as the people who came down from the moon. Plus we know that there was an ancient and advanced civilization in one of the moons at least, with the automata that Eneru found.
but as dragon mentioned about lack of food supply in holy land it is maybe due to the fact they do not have any fertile soil at top of red line same as the sky islands. So the great flood would lead the celestial dragons to starve right??
I've been convinced for years that Imu is actually meant to be Yam, the ancient Canaanite god of the sea (spelled literally YM or IM in Canaanite script) - Hebrew still uses the word yam for the sea. It's also a homonym with yom, the word for "day" or "era", which could sort of make sense as well.
I have nothing to base it on , but I feel like Pandora was used for the previous Mother Flame. And it was named Pandora for the chaos it's existence would soon bring
dont forget that alabasta, wano, drum kingdom, water seven , skypea, dresrosa, etc (maybe Ive missed something) everything that has something to do with the nancient kingdom are above sea level covered with walls...
I just thought, the reason York wants to be a celestial dragon must be due to knowing about the world flooding, and since she believes the red line will be the only thing left she can only survive by siding with imu. Though also since she could make sky islands idk 🤷♂️
There is a machine that causes Aqua Laguna but has a year cooldown. And the power source they had wasnt strong enough but now they have the perfect fuel the Mother Flame.
Why is everyone assuming that Vegapunk mentionig "he" is a refference to Imu. He might be talking about Joy Boy being the one who will bring the flood destroying the Red line.
By that line from vegapunk reveals what is one piece. 1) there will be a huge flood all across the world and to stop the flood you need to find one piece.thats the reason roger executed himself to save the world. 2) this chapter has a special cameo his picture is hidden but true one piece fans know its "scopper gaban" 3) vegapunk line is already revealed in a filler episode in water saga arc.(the episode tells that for every full moon day the water levels will increase at some level. ) 4) a new arc is introduced that is noah arc means how noah boat is connected to imu. 5) finally one piece is revealed not completely but like 50 - 60 % 6) now oda sensei ended the story of many characters now he is connecting them all.
These are just scattered high thoughts but what if Uranus is/on the moon and imu has control of it because of the relation with the ocean and the moon pull??
I think the one piece world is “flat” in the past seeing how red line serve as the border, or is it a mechanism that prevent half of the world from sinking
There's gotta be a bit more to the cleansing plan. After all, the celestial dragons need food and labor from the lower realms to survive. Oda confirmed as much after Sabo burned their food supplies. So Imu is either going to a) turn the celestial dragons into slaves, leaving only Him and the Gorosei as the gods of the new world, or b) offer to save people who agree to become slaves. Possibly by granting them save heaven on the Red Line.
16:38- maybe instead of making the Devil Fruits created by the Ancient Kingdom, Imu wasn't against them and drowned them out of spite with somehow Haki causing them to turn into monsters.
Vegapunk’s message about the sea rejecting humanity’s evolution makes a lot more sense now. Water and seastone weaken Devil Fruit users, people who unnaturally modify their genetic codes so they can get what they want. Imu opposes humans evolving beyond his control so he uses his abilities to silence them.
My Theory is that the original world was actually all land (hence the ancient kingdom)and very little ocean, and imu and others use some powers to drown the world Joyboy tried to save everyone but couldn't, and the fishman are the former humans who got left behind and mutated to adapt in water that's why he's saying sorry while the humans he saved goes to sky and created sky island, enel probably knows this that's why he goes to the moon, he probably created that water air stream, and the world is actually sinking for 800 years hence the Water 7 arc and that's what joyboy was preventing but couldn't do it because he was probably betrayed by someone whom he trusted, and he probably created islands and devil fruits for humans to survive, and one piece is the one that can bring the world to the surface again that's why the gorosei is not letting anyone obtain it and for that to happen, roger pirates knows this but also knows that in order to save the world again, it must be someone who got the gum fruit or the nika fruit because it's powers is reality manipulation, even if the world sinks, sun god just can manipulate the sea(i guess) so it bounce like he did in sky with clouds
My theory on how den den mushi’s get there appearance.. everybody get a basic one but the longer he is with the same person the snail actually grows the same appearance of the user himself apperantly that includes glasses like that one from donflamingo 😂
I think the Red Line was already there in the empty century, because it was the home of the Lunarians. I think it's all about the celestial dragons deciding to survive on their own and leaving everyone in the shadows. They were installed in the Red Line, chase the lunarians, and kill lilith to prevent she speaks about it.
what if IMU is responsible for devil fruit user not being able to go in water because IMU has used his power to coat the whole ocean in his unique very powerful haki or some sort of power. and the ancient kingdom being under enis lobby which was suppose to be erased but got countered by "ONE PIECE" making it still available but the power of IMU still linger there which makes all devil fruit user approach it sick since its kind of going in ocean.
I wonder how Whitebeard (now Blackbeard’s) power is going to play a part in the rising sea levels. Does Blackbeard know something that made him steal that particular power?
Personally I think the man he was referring to was luffy as it seems like he knew he was coming to egghead. And by “those” I think he means the “straw hat pirates” gonna go back and reread to find more evidence so if you see this comment and think it could be right comment so I remember to come back please 🙏🏽
Let me cook - Imu is Joyboy. Vegapunk said that he didn't know whether "his" intentions were good or evil and I think he was talking about Imu. Punk also said the truth was shocking and would make you laugh out loud. Luffy's dream had the same reactions, and it was compared to Joyboy's. I think Luffy's / Joyboy's dream is to turn the world into an ocean for all to sail, and Imu (who is from the same time as Joyboy) is doing the same thing.
