All of my pantry storage is from IKEA. They actually picked my apartment once to be one they toured to see how I live to influence the "room" set-ups in the store. They stood for a while just looking at my pantry and identifying all the IKEA products I used for my food 😂😂 They seemed very pleased and oddly proud of me.

This is something that I think you and Lottie may appreciate: I cleared out the top basket of my Ikea Raskog utility cart and added a fuzzy blanket so my cat could be close to me while I worked. It actually worked a little too well because now she won't sleep anywhere but in the cart!

Alexandra, I do it exactly the way you do. I use all kinds of containers. If they are not pretty, I cover them in nice paper. AND, I crochet containers to size, out of used plastic grocery bags.

When you can take a trip to the states I would suggest visiting the container store. I organize my essentials in mason jars.

Alexandra, it is so satisfying to see you taking the stickers off the baskets, etc.! Maybe I'm weird, but I have watched so many youtubers doing organizing and they leave on the stickers. I just want to reach into the video and take them off myself! LOL I am a Virgo, so maybe that's why? I do love a good organization video. ♥

Hi Alexandra. HOW DO YOU KEEP SUCH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE? i love your channels. This video is another example of how you love organizing and beautifying everything. I've never once heard you say anything about one correct way, or only use this. The fact that you are helping so many people, must be the secret to your attitude and your success. I try not to read too many of the comments cause it upsets me when people compliment you and then say "but" or some other kind of take away. I just keep liking you more with each of your segments, and I'm a might protective of people I like. Sorry I got negative, I hope you know how smart, talented and nice you are. After reorganising my pantry last week, I can totally relate to the feeling you had at the end of the process. I love using pretty jars and containers. It is the little things in life that make us feel better.

Ah, kitchen organisation, my little obsession! :) I love what you did with the tea! Not sure what your style of cooking is, but if you like freestyling with spices (I know I do!) then it's better to have them all closer to your cooktop. Same goes for oil and soy sauce (if you use any). Additional benefit: if you want to enrich your tea/coffee with a dash of cinnamon or cloves, they would be closer to your beverage station. As for my storage hacks: 1) I do not really buy new jars, just reuse the ones that came with other foods I'd consumed, i.e. coffee containers, cookie cans, glass jars of all shapes and sizes, even cardboard boxes and plastic trays (yes, I wish I could buy in zero waste shops but it's really not an option for me at the moment). For decor purpose I wrap them in some self-adhesive wallpaper or gift wrappers. One exception: flour. You defo need an airtight container for those. 2) Wire baskets are a great alternative to plastic, especially for storing veg 3) If you pour pasta or grain into a jar, write cooking time down on the label (chalk markers FTW). It’s so great to have things so organized. I really like the idea of putting the expiry dates on storage jars. It concerns me to buy plastic to store items in. We need to be consuming LESS plastic. Cardboard boxes for tea is okay.

Plastic is definitely a safer choice for us clumsy folks or those with kids...but if you want to avoid plastic there are metal wire baskets, woven/wicker baskets, wooden bowls, cardboard boxes, and glass jars. I don't buy jars I am reusing old spaghetti sauce jars for my bulk snacks, and an old glass bottle for homemade lemonade.

“I feel like in the states there’s so many more options for organizational items that look, really great. Here, a lot of containers are expensive and just don’t look the best” Felt this as an Australian. I mean, Kmarts cool sometimes and there’s IKEA, but nothing super handy and cute like Target or the Container Store (especially if you don’t want plastic)

The Container Store is expensive. Most common Americans can't afford or won't spend that much on organizing items. Ut became the in th for ng abfew years ago when Khloe Kardashian started showing her organized kitchen and pantry on their paid apps. Then she did a thing where she did her mom Kris's kitchen also. She started the stacked cookie jar trend during this time. Most people I know use Dollar tree or Target/Walmart items. My state doesn't have an ikea and I don't personally know of a single person that has gone to or ordered from Ikea.

Other than the delayed gratification of clear bins, it is an amazing reorganization. Now I have to go to a Dollarama and finish reorganizing my kitchen. My roommate moved out recently and now I get to set up the kitchen so it works for me! Stay safe!

Loving this organizational video. Great job! If you have these on hand, I use two round cake pans on top of each other from the dollar tree store (U.S.) and put marbles or round beads in between. Works great as a Lazy Susan. Have a wonderful day. Blessings Judith

You did a great job in your space Alexandra. I am blessed with a walk in pantry. I use quite a few lined wicker baskets, Tupperware and Rubbermaid food storage containers among other things. I just did an overhaul on it because hubby is now doing most of the cooking and he could never find anything. Typical guy, it's not right in front of him, he can't find it. LOL Gotta love my man.

Haha when stacking the small plates and bowls on the organizers I was thinking (from experience) to switch the bowls to top so more usable to pull out for use. Then I blinked (shot cut) and they were!

I enjoyed this video. It looks like you organized things in a way that's functional for you. I personally have this thing that I can't have food where my dishes or glassware are. It may be a carryover from how I was raised & my kids do the same in their homes. Hmm. Just a strong preference. You can find most that stuff on Amazon!! They have light pink plates that rotate that would match all your stuff perfectly!!! And clear storage bins as well.

Organizing cabinets does have the power to give us some peace of mind hahaha I decluttered and organized mine a while ago with those cabinet shelves and wooden crates I took from a local supermarket and omg, my life changed!

Alexandra you did a fab job. Looks so good. As how I do mine. Trays I re-use the plastic tray our fruit comes in. They are clear and some really strong. Labels I do cut out from the packet with the expire date and sticky tape it to the jars. This way I can swap jars easily if need it. Doesn't look as nice as yours but only my eyes seeing them so I live with it. This way no extra cost in the cabinet. No guest looking into my cabinet so I don't feel shame. Yes it is basic not pretty but still functional. One day when I have my dream kitchen will make it pretty.

This is great organization inspiration! I actually used empty tea boxes at the back of my cupboard to add another sort of shelf for my spices. Not very pretty but it works for now!

I have a hefty spice cabinet so I started printing out a list of everything in it and taping it to the inside of the cupboard door. I'm thinking of switching to whiteboard if I can find one with a thin enough profile so that it's easier to cross off or add without using more paper. It really helps me keep organized and properly stocked!

Love your video ! For my pantry I used a ton of sockerbit bins from ikea, they come in all sort of sizes and they're great! I personally don't like see-through containers because for me it's too much visual information (I'm easily distracted by everything so..). But to know what is inside each one I made labels with a retro label maker just like yours ! Easy information and minimalist vibes! For your glasses, I think ikea sells a system you can screw to the bottom of a shelf to hold the glasses upside down so you have free space under them ! Very convenient when you have limited cupboard space ahah!

I purchased like 20 years ago a bunch of shallow rectangular wicker baskets on sale somewhere. I think I have about 8-10 of them. They all came with canvas inserts. I have used these baskets for my salon, and at home. If they get dusty, just hose em off. Right now they are being used in my kitchen lower cabinets. I pull them out like drawers so I don’t have to grab stuff from the back (oh if we all had ikea deep drawers instead of cabinets). I usually don’t keep a lot of food in my house so it’s worked out fine but now that we have to stock up for the zombie apocalypse, I had to used the space in between baskets to store canned goods etc. I have a lazy Susan on one side for accessibility and a large one in my fridge where I also have taken plastic place mats to line all the shelves to make it easy to clean. Your plastic bins will last forever. You can spray paint them or make insets. The idea is reuse before buying more. I know you have a variety on hand because of your profession. Snack bars, instant oatmeal, coffee k-cups are all emptied out of the boxes or at least tear the tops off. I’ve even stapled boxes together when the need to keep them together was more practical.

teabag organization tip! if you alternate the direction of the teabags (one up one down) they take up almost half as much space and they stay more upright because the bottom is wider than the top! it takes a sec but its totally worth it imo

When you mentioned it being difficult to find organization bins here, I was going to suggest Dollarama because I've been seeing some pretty good stuff there. Then in the next shot you're holding that wire basket and I knew you'd already been there, lol! My other go-to is Homesense. I refer to it as the mother ship. 😄 Your kitchen looks great and I'm very envious! I moved to Vancouver from Toronto 4 years ago, and was in a one bedroom for the first 3 years or so. The kitchen in it was super small. Then a few months ago I switched to a studio apartment in the same building. The kitchen is so freaking small, and the cabinets are so tiny, I swear it was designed for wee elves to use. Even the drawers... one is regular size, but only about an inch and a half in depth, the other 3 aren't even full drawers. They only go in about 6 inches, lol! I have some of those wire stands you used for your dishes, but I can literally only put one or two plates on the top because the cabinets are so little. They aren't very wide or deep, either. And here's the best part... they're really old, and they're shellacked. Just stunning, they are, lol! I still haven't figured out how to deal with it all, but I'm working on it.

I have a double tiered lazy susan for my spices. It works great and you never have to move anything to see what is behind! And it doesn't take up alot of room...using that vertical storage!

Great job...I had to smile when you were putting dishes on second shelf and stretching up ...I was wanting to shout out MOVE THEM DOWN..I ONLY 5’ 2 and so I did my kitchen a couple of years back ..most of my shelves have baskets along the top of every cupboard..I got ones that had a little corner handle... and my dishes cupboard I put in order of what I use most and even lowering the top shelf for those pasta dishes! Spice cupboard near the cooker...I could go on ..but my point being..such simple obviously solution...why hadn’t I done it before 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😉😉😂🙋🏻‍♀️🇬🇧💕

Your cupboards look pretty organized before your makeover. However, they look fantastic now! I'm in the process of reorganizing my cupboards as well and purging. I already did my Island and the top part of my cupboards. I really should have taken before and after pictures, but I never thought of it. I will likely take pictures of the bottom half of the cupboards before I start organizing just to compare. It feels really good and too get rid of things that you don't use and to reorganize so that it functions better for you. I always look forward to seeing what you are going to come up with next. Hi, Chanell from Miami, BIG FAN! A Lazy Sunsan saves lives! Also, there are ascending stair-like shelves accessory that's displays all your goods, utilizing the vertical space in your cabinet. Also, folder holders are great for storage of produce and things like aluminum foil or spaghetti boxes, etcs

Great video ... if you don’t want to have to go through the trouble of cutting the expiration dates and taping them you can just use a chalk marker to write the dates or a sharpie both come off with water

Hey Alexandra! You are using a Greek salt! It is the best natural sea salt from a place called Messologi. I never thought I would see someone using it so far away from Greece but I am glad. You have an astonishing skill of finding all the good stuff! Love your videos ❤️ You have improved my decor skills for sure!

Alexandra--I love your videos! I use the stacking organizers for dishes and also for my canned goods so I don't have to stack cans. Just the right height for two cans and you don't have to unstack and restack cans everytime you need some soup ;)

A few things that may help others looking to organize their kitchen cupboards; use your fridge space! Bread, soy sauce, and peanut butter can all go in the fridge, which will clear out space! Also, use your stovetop- I have a really nice decorative heatproof plate I put on top, and that's where my oil, salt, and pepper live, since I often reach for them while cooking.

I like to reuse what I can and have found the Starbuck drinks in coolers make great canisters for seeds, spices, nuts etc. They utilize more height than footprint. Mason jars are also handy. Have you thought of using turntables to turn that inaccessible end space in functional storage? I am not a fan of the large round jars as you need 2 hands to grab them. Oxo storage containers come in all sizes and snug together well, grippable with one hand. Flour and sugar need to be shorter and wider to scoop and scrape measuring cups without overspill but 2 stack nicely with no wasted space, loads of suppliers for those. Thrift stores, estate and garage sales are great cost saving resources. I love how your moved your tea out of the boxes. I did too. A DIY for very specific sized items was so simple. After many unsuccessful hunts at different store chains for the right sized containers I decided to cut food boxes like cereals or cake mix, trimmed the cut ends with masking tape and spray painted to match the decor of where they were going to be placed. I am very happy to tick those items off my shopping list at last.

Have you considered using your drawer to store dishes? I love the way Ikea does dishes drawers. I would go insane having to get food off top shelves. If you moved the towel baskets to the top shelf and dishes to your deep drawer you could bring food items down to a shelf that is easier to access. I have to get creative with my apt kitchen space too. Love the labels. I am buying them for my storage solutions.

I keep all my spices in a draw next to the cooker it's super easy and saves on loads of space.

When I add items to baskets on shelves over my head, I add a label to the bottom of the basket telling me what's in the basket. That way I can just use my grippers on a stick (like disabled folks use) to pull the basket just slightly over the edge of the shelf in order to read the contents label.

It´s great like everything you do ! I think the basket with oil , etc could be a little heavy , maybe a tray could be more practical . I´m so happy every time you post a new video , thanks !!!
