You have to set your refresh rate in windows with the hdmi port on the laptop I think the max is 144hz you need a Desktop with display port to clock it any higher
Civil Electrical Engineer here... unless a screen has an least a 2 inch curve, it doesnt make much difference.. looks cool.. but flat is the best unless ur gettinging into the ultra wide 😅
What type of LED Backlight system is used on that moniter ? Is it a Edge lit, Direct or Full Array ? because they've just mentioned 'LED' in specifications.
I just bought one today for $200 at Walmart as well. I'm shocked at how nice a monitor it is for the money... hard to believe you can get something like this for $200.
It's 144hz at 1080 165 max at DP1.2 I havent had any issues with this one the picture looks great for the price. The limiter on this one for me is my laptop setup. Don't get me wrong you can get way better monitors with better colors and looks but for the price this is perfect for me. This one has had alot of bad reviews from people on game consoles because they can't use all the features and don't know how to optimize it.
A question when I play Fortnite and I put the FPS mode on the monitor it removes most of the colors like green and blue, I see most of the gray things, why is it?
You can get a sterling adapter capable of running it up to 240hz but most console is capped at 120 anyways. However it still breaks that 60 cap through hdmi. Costs 50 quid though
@@SmittysWorld I know about the button on the back and all the other settings, it’s game mode tap that is lock and I noticed the same in the video. Can’t access it at all
Where it says auto in the display settings or what ever change it to the hdmi your using. I dont know what it's called but then you can change your refresh rate
@@thibauddp26idk I got Both consoles with dead island 2 on em, I got a monitor that goes up to 165 hz on the series x there’s a setting that the max is 120 but for my ps5 it stays at 60. Could just be the monitor but I heard that in order to use the ps5 features to the max you have to have a hdmi 2.1 cable kind of wack but it’s whatever I’m not even trippin
I first purchased a MSI Curved monitor in 2018. I had to go through the RMA process 2 times by late 2020, and now my 3rd monitor failed 6/10/22. I have a monitor that has been issued to me in a warranty repair. This is my third monitor I have had to get back because of issues with the displays. I have the issue of lines going across the screen on both the HDMI to my xbox and Display port to my PC. The pc picture shows the white screen and the top half is darker because of little lines across the screen. The xbox you can see the lines are thicker and take up more of the screen. You can see the lines on the top half. This is very frustrating to have paid $460 on a monitor and to have the issues continously happening. I even had to pay the shipping to have my monitor replaced. I am to the point where I want a refund for the monitor as I don't want to deal with display issues every year or two. When talking to customer service they won't do anything to help me and just say my monitor is out of warranty from my original purchase. Overall I received 3 monitors for my $460 and they have all been defective in less than 1.5 years. The first one was defective on delivery I only noticed when I had it in the basement and when it was cold there would be lines across the display and it would disappear 20 mins after warming up. Very disappointed never going to be an MSI customer again.
