I do a lot of street photography during my lunch walks around downtown and around my neighborhood afternoons when enjoying the sunset. My adjuster is shutter speed when shooting Manual exposure. During the day there is plenty of light so I’ll always have my ISO as low as it can go (50). I’ll stop aperture down as far as it can go (i.e f22) when I want a sun burst or I’ll open it as wide as possible (i.e f2.8) when I want an occasional subject separation but 98% of the time I set it at what returns the sharpest image for the lens I’m using, (f5.6 for my 24mm, and f4.0 for my 50mm or 90mm). During the day especially on my Sigma, 90mm, f2.8 I adjust the shutter speed to get M.M -0.3 or -0.7 (on the darker side). This brings out beautiful rich color saturation from the lens. Indoors or at night I have to think a little more. When indoors and under, soft, home lighting I’ll start at ISO 400 on my A7IV and adjust up from there, but my main adjustments come on the shutter speed side.

@@rumorscameras Many external zoom lenses are common for dust getting inside because there are moving components. It's easy for dust to get in the chamber. However, I haven't had this issue with my Sigma 24-70mm!
