For as big a scaredy cat as I am, I sure do love making spooky music. :) When I first heard Master Mirror's theme being sung by children on the side of the road as I trotted by astride Roach, the hairs on the back of my neck stood completely up. Gaunter O'Dimm is a terrifying creature and I love to hate him.

After playing Heart of Stone yet again for the 5th time, I have to say this cover of the song is somehow creepier then the one the children sing.

Playing it for the first time. (And why did RU-vid suddenly start giving me covers of *this* song the same day I started on HoS, when I've been getting all the *other* TW3 songs for months now but had somehow never come across this one until now...?) Anyway: Yeah, the *sound* of this version is wayyy creepier, and of course just so much *better* in every way. But there's something unmatchable about the *context* of the in-game version, especially that first time. A bunch of kids playing by the side of the road, and the moment you step close enough to them, they suddenly start singing... this. (Also, first impression of the guy: he's got a distinct "Mr. Morden" kind of vibe, doesn't he? He even mentioned "my associates" at one point, but that's probably a coincidence. Yeah. Coincidence.)

*I LOVE THIS COVER SO MUCH!!!! It screams Dark Fantasy and adds so much creepiness to the theme of it!* You see, as a Fantasy fan, I have always been amazed by many forms of Fantasy, such as; Urban Fantasy, High Fantasy, Medieval Fantasy, etc. And one of those is Dark Fantasy and this cover screams so much of it right now! *For most people, Dark Fantasy is like Medieval Fantasy but with more monsters and darkness to it. But it was never that bland for me. For me, Dark Fantasy has always been like Bloodborne or Van Helsing. In an abandoned 17th/18th century town/city in the dead of night, armed with but a single lantern and a shotgun as the horrifying monsters lurk in the shadows of every corner.*

I'm currently in my first playthrough of Hearts of Stone and, wow. I don't even know how the game knew I was ready to start on HoS. I mean, I was just about to start on that questline, but the following all happened right *before* I did: I was wandering around east of Oxenfurt, started hitting a bunch of Fallen Knight camps, started thinking, "Oh ok, this is going to be about breaking up a fisstech gang, right?" "Giant spiders, WTF!?" A couple random merchants give me this new Gwent card. "Gaunter O'Dimm? WTF is that?" Then, I'm passing through some random town, there's a bunch of kids playing by the side of the road, and suddenly they start singing... this. 😮

I actually put together that costume myself! I bought a yellow shirt and hot glued blue stripes to it. I made the brown cowl from a simple pattern I bought, and cut off the fingertips to brown gloves. I hope this helps, and good luck with your own Gaunter O'Dimm costume!
