You really need to team up with this guy, the guitar tone is spot-on but the bass doesn't really sound similar to Cliff's which makes his ''What if..'' covers sound quite different.
More than likely since it is just a test, but there could be more. But there is always at least two guitar tracks. A left pan 70-100% and a right pan 70-100%
TheFrayedEndsOfSanity 01 it'd sound even better on ride the lightning. I am aware that Creblestar did one like that, but I'd love to hear guitarrazze's version.
Sounds like Garage Days 5.98 EP (1987) with the chug. Like someone else said, the mastering and muted notes touch the ear like the mid-range crunch from The Black Album (look up the Holier Than Thou tracks). Does sound like Puppets, but other people have better tones. Why not make a cover already? With this guitar tone, a final mix could wound great.
Ok, so, it sounds exactly like the tone from orion, the problem is that the tone from every song is different. The tone from songs like battery, master and damage are more recognizable, that's why some people are complaining. to get those tones i would crank up the mids in the eq at 750 Hz with about 5 db, and leave the 500 Hz as it is (and maybe a little less treble), and a little less gain.
also, I got an awesome master of puppets tone today, and I was so happy because nobody on youtube got close enough, and i thought i'd do some covers with that tone (i already did one but i wasn't too pleased with how it sounded), but I guess I'm not the only one with a good tone anymore
sounds bad ass. I mess around with impulse responses too, the ones from beglelis and free amps , but i cant quite get the super sick sounds you have. what is your setup? i especially love your justice tone with moth into flame. the ultimate bad ass sound. i even have a snakebyte guitar by hetfield , but my settings sound so lifeless and dead. im working with FL studios. any tips would be great! keep up the great work man.
Which preset did you use? All the ones I found on ToneCloud don't sound nearly as good as this one. Also, your playing amazes me. Keep up the great work!
Sounds fucking cool dude, I'm amazed how close you can get these tones. Do you use a phaser here or are you layering the tracks (like they did) to get the chorusy/phasery sound? Not that I know much about it but if any improvement can be made to my ears it's a bit noisy not sure if that's too much gain or if the higher end of the eq needs taming a bit but the body of the sound is spot on just needs tidying up a bit
He needs to do My Friend of Misery if it were on S&M. Maybe he wouldn't be able to add in the live setting, but he could add the orchestra. From the moment I heard My Friend of Misery I thought it would be on the S&M album but no. Sad, but true.
Idk, i believe that they didnt really have sound like this. The mastering, mixing, lot of track over each other made it aound like this, but in stuido from the amps it sound more naturall.
