Really solid videos man. Honestly haven’t seen content quite like this on RU-vid in the way that you present the material. Keep it up and this channel will be huge
Anw love your tone, I have yet to incorporate an octave pedal into my setup. I don’t have board estate for pog2. Have you tried the micro/nano and how it matches up to fork?
So glad I found your channel! I just got a Quad Cortex and your breakdown to sound/tone design is really helping me getting it dialed in for my sound, not just someone elses presets. Thank you!
Great video! I would add tremolo to the list of essential worship modulations. I feel like it’s perfect for sets that are on the folk/acoustic side of things.
I run with the POG 2 but am thinking of getting rid of it. I dont really use it like it can be used so its not only a waste of space on my board but a waste of money as well. Id like to down size.
I had the Micro POG for years and “upgraded” to the POG 2 and really regretted it. It did too much and I couldn’t look down at it and know what it was going to do when I turned it on. 😂 I eventually sold it and got the Walrus Audio Luminary and then I got the Boss OC-5 when it came out and have been happy with it enough to let the Luminary go. But I still miss the Micro POG… not many pedals I would buy again. The pitchfork really reminds me of the those tones.
@@countstoneula I like the simpler pedals. Set it and forget it. I feel the same about my Walrus Audio D1 delay pedal. It offers a bunch of different settings that I don't really use in a worship set.
If you have a chorus, do you actually need a compressor? It sounds compressed already.. Just my thought. It definitely sounds fuller/wider to me. Is your pedal stereo?
I'm using the two very differently from one another, so it's definitely worth it for me. I'm using the compressor first in the chain as an always on "tone polisher", and I'm using the chorus more traditionally for the chorus effect later in my signal chain. This particular one isn't stereo, but they do have a stereo version that would be super cool to upgrade to at some point!
Great video - I just played great things last Sunday! I recently got the GFI Synesthesia and have been trying to fit more modulation into my playing. I've started using tremolo for some ambient parts which has been really fun.
Hey! I put my iridium at the very end of my chain, mainly because I want it to act exactly the same as my amp would. Overdrives will definitely sound a lot better going into the iridium as opposed to the other way around. Hope this helps!
@@SamWittek Thank you, after trying to figure things out, I placed it like this: Tuner, Gate(Ive a noisy Tele), Compressor, Pitch Shifter, overdrive, IRIDIUM, volume pedal, chorus, reverb, delay, done. In this way I can emulate feeding time and modulations fx going into the amp loop, which makes them sound less clipped. Since Im running it like this, I probably can benefit adding a DI box as my last “pedal” before going to the Console. What do you think?
I thought the same jokingly about the Morning Star MIDI controller. That is another name for satan right? Wasn’t that the name of the devil before his fall from Grace?
