Great video thank you! I have pulled apart my Hoover Link X-Care All in One Vented as I am trying to locate the source of a “bump bump” noise that happens with each rotation of the drum. The sounds appears to align with the same point of the drum. I have watched it while running with the top and lower front panel off and cannot see anything obviously wrong. I have felt the drum edge against the front rollers as I spun the drum by hand and there is nothing that would make the noise. I also can’t get the noise to happen by just spinning the drum by hand, only when it is running. Any idea what it might be? Otherwise do you think it is safe to just use with the noise? It is a brand new machine that I haven’t really used yet. But I bought it off Facebook so no chance for warranty. Thanks!

@@How-to-repair at 1:27 you mention it, it's also called the electrical filter. I found that the wire of the mains plug leading into this had blown, however the electrical filter looks in good nick. I think it's just the plug that needs replacing.

Good morning thanks very much for coming back to me if the lead has burnt out on the connector going into the filter. This suggests either a loose connection that caused it to Ark and burn all the most common one that I come across as peoples sometimes have their appliance plugged in to an inadequate extension lead and sometimes the load causes certain things to burn? If the filter looks good or sometimes known as a suppressor, then it might not need replacing. I normally repair the Leads with new terminals.

Good Morning@@How-to-repair thanks so much! It must have been the extension lead, I've bought an rcd 13amp trip switch plug so I'm hoping this protects the machine and cuts out power before something like this happens again.

@@king0vdarkness the most important thing to remember is your extension lead needs to be able to carry 13 A do not use cheap ones as the amperage will not be conducted down the lead when the tumble dryer is on full heat

"Keep screws organised, as they are different threads, lengths, and sizes. They're done this way for a reason." (But said reason is NOT specified?) It's just to confuse the unwary repairer? 👎🤣 I've NEVER owned a Tumble Dryer. For the past 20 years, I've always dried my laundry naturally, and at zero cost to my wallet and the environment. However, I realise that many people have no qualms about the environment! I call it short-sightedness and selfishness! 🤣 So, why did I watch the video? ... I like to see inside machines!
