Hello, thank you for your video. I would like to ask whether files are synchronized using the copy to method; meaning that any changes to the documents on the old site shall be reflected onto the new one.

Thank you for checking out the video and that's a very good question. With the copy method I showed you once you copy over your information use it on that site. If you update information on the old say or the original site it's not going to reflect the information on the newer site or the site you copied to. You could set up automations to do that, but that's a whole other beast. As a side note - if you want to keep all your metadata you would be better off using the Admin Migration Tool. I should probably make a video on that at some point. Let me know if that answers your question.

Thanks for this! Do I need to be a site admin of site with original to be able to download and copy to a new sharepoint site?

As long as you don't need to create a new site and have proper permissions you won't need to get into the Admin Tool.

To keep all the Meta Data you'd want to use the tool that's found in the SharePoint Admin tool. I'll try to make a video on that at some point. If you're not worried about the Meta Data and just want to get the files over intact this is a good way to go.

so when you update and work on your files in one Sharepoint site they won‘t be the same in the other and you have to do that copying all the time?

Thank you for the question. Are you attempting to update the same content for different SharePoint websites? Is that what you would be asking in your question? It depends on if you're doing like a Word Document or an Excel Document and so on. I would need a better idea as to what you're trying to update for multiple sites.
