In this episode of “The Pipe Box”, Gold Medallist, Jim McGillivray demonstrates practice exercises that will help you master the crunluath a-mach movement (or embellishment). * Download the practice exercises (pdf) - pipetunes.ca/a... and practice along with Jim.
The crunluath a mach features a grip followed by open ‘dre’. The crunluath 'a-mach' is an occasional extension of the crunluath variation, with rhythmical and melodic changes, and a slight increase in tempo, creating a spectacular finish to a piobaireachd.
* For more advanced exercises to enhance your technical fingering please check out Jim's book, "Piobaireachd Fingerwork: Instruction in Piobaireachd Technique for the Highland Bagpipe" - bit.ly/Piobair...

That's virtuoso, thanks very much. The pipes aren't hard, but they are demanding to get good at. it's only none notes but a large number of cords/cord note combinations. I think possibly more than any other windblown instrument.
