OMGOSH THANK YOU!!! So many of these other videos leave out the tabs and for a beginner its awful. Yours is the FIRST good one I've seen on this roll that actually shows the tabs. BLESS YOU!! Oh man, PLEASE keep them coming! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Great! I'm glad you found it helpful. I have a few other videos in this same style exploring other popular roll patterns. You can check them out on my channel. - Mike

Enjoyed your band High 48 playing at Mayo a couple weeks ago. You play mandolin well too. Minnesota has some very good bluegrass bands like Monroe Crossing, and Sawtooth. Who would have thought it.

Hello Mike. When ever i accidentally hit the 5th string Drone. when playing the D chord. It sounds terrible. Is there a way around this Like returning the 5th string to fit in with all chords. Thanks Mike take care George

It would depend on what other chords you're playing. You could retune the 5th string to A if you're playing in D. However, the open 5th string shouldn't sound terrible unless you're out of tune or you're hitting the note too hard. But if you're playing G, C and D you should definitely be able to use the 5th string on the D chord without it sounding too bad. You may want to check your intonation or tuning to verify you're in tune. - Mike
