He said it doesn't degrade during slayer/reaper task. I think that sort of implies that it will last longer. Potentially even more than twice as long if you do a lot of slayer like I do.
Protoxx, I want to thank you for helping me stay motivated to play RS3. Everytime I'm about to stop I watch a video you do and it makes me want to get back into it. You've been a colossal help.
@@ProtoxxGaming Its not so much that I'm bored, it's just very different from what I once knew. As much as I want to enjoy it, it's proving to be quite daunting.
Regular masterwork is craftable, so if you're broke, an ironman, or just very dedicated, you can get your hands on a full set and all it'll cost is time
most budget friendly way is just augment regular masterwork body/legs, spend the rest of your money on perks and it doesn't degrade... definitely in the works of a trimmed set to custom fit for Elite Dungeons and Slayer/Reaper tasks though
I did not know it did not degrade in ed3!! That’s amazing I never use my custom fitted trimmed masterwork because I took a break from slayer and I was scared to use it it’s at 99.9% lol looks like I’ll be grinding ed3 with masterwork and scythe for now on!
Even regular takes a min to degrade and if perked put then it's great haha. And also now it's up 25m from when I made it. Time to mine and smith again....
@master chief If it was last year they would of fixed it by now and yes the custom fitted masterwork does not degrade on slayer I have done four tasks with it so do and I have not gone .1% down
It is crazy, I spend all my money for it. Get Custom-fit trimmed masterwork full set. First Slayer master Lapalok task to kill Airut. After 1 kill on Mazcab all pieces degraded by 1%, Can someone explain what is wrong?
I just recently watched the video with you, Wazzy, and a few other top guys in the community. The video was not only amazing but it all just further proves how much work you put into the game and creating content for the community. Keep it up brother!! I’ve been playing so much because of you bro. I’ve gotten my rep up almost to 100% at gwd2 and now I’m getting like crest drops, wand of cywir, and lance a lot more now!!! Bottom line, you keep us all motivated! Keep it up!!🤘🙌
I started working on my full set of custom fitted trimmed masterwork shortly after the M&S rework (have you heard?) and it was a definite process but was joyful accomplishment and it has been helpful just about everywhere. Just came to say hello!
It's good to say though, that if you're coming from Bandos (T70 Melee power armour). T90 Masterwork is the next best thing. Anima core of Zaros armour is 86M right now for only 3 pieces (helm, chest and legs), and Torva is 184M for the full set. In terms of price and quality, Masterwork is definitly worth it if you're looking to upgrade from Bandos. Then, all the points said in the video for T92.
Other people: are watching this video for the content Me, not interested in doing this for myself: is watching this video because E´s voice is so soothing
And the prices of this armor is 400m+ by the time i'm typing this. Probably many ppl starting to see its true benefit and the price will increase more n more. I recommended gathering the bars, materials from scratch and you'll not regret :) Made my own custom fitted from scratch n equipped perks is crackling4+mobile/ biting4+venomblood (top). Relentless5+invigorating2/ impatient4+devoted2(leg). Love this set so much
That's a horrible tip tho, it's extremely unlikely that making this from scratch is efficient. Well, it's definitely not with current money making methods. If you spent say 100 hours getting it from scratch you could've just done araxxor for 30 hours and made the 450 mil that way, and saved 70 hours doing it.
Side note, still feel free to use the gloves and boots you wish while still keeping the 3 piece trimmed masterwork effect. I prefer using deathtouch/cinderbanes/lacerations in place of the gloves and boots slots and use trimmed helm/body/legs. It works perfectly while still giving me flexibility with the other gloves/boots passives.
Wow! I had no idea it was this good! I've got Pernix and I just got Virtus, so now I think it is time to save for the trimmed masterwork. However, I think I'll wait a bit before I buy it. Afterall, its like 350m right now. Thanks for another great video Protoxx. Best RS3 youtuber.
@@ProtoxxGaming All good man. Honestly, it’s pretty amazing how many comments you get to. We appreciate how much time you spend looking through your comment section. Definitely one of the best RU-vidrs around in this regard and I’m not talking just rs3. We love your videos and you make some damn good ones, but I think you making it so apparently clear how much you care about your audience is the reason that your sub numbers have been climbing. Keep it up man. You rock.
I always make my own armor from scratch. My first trimmed set took me around 5 day because I had to farm the mats and do a Grandmaster Quest (which sucked playing on a phone btw). I've made a few sets since for clan mates and their accounts, I can usually make a full TMW set in about 45-50 hours of game time from scratch.
I'm glad I forked out for full trimmed mw, before I staked the rest of my bank and lost. This armour is now my entire bank, I've cleaned out the rest and may rebuild one day for something to do. Currently not playing rs3 and haven't for 6 months now. Staking sucks 😂
2 questions. 1. Does the regular master work degrade to dust or a broken state in need of repair? 2. The spear of annihilation, does that degrade to dust or a broken state (not the masterwork version). The wiki didn’t really make it that clear.
I was kind of surprised there was no upkeep cost/hr mentioned or talked about specifically. After so many hours of use, the tmw is actually cheaper to upkeep than t90!
I was so happy to use masterwork armor after someone from my clan made it for me... Yeah, elder rune +5 I barely got hit vs the masterwork. Worst than 70m I spent. Sticking with elder from now on. Yes, you hit harder, but your armor is lower by like 2k.
Because I had 99 Smithing, I made my own masterwork after mining a lot of the ore, bought the Torva and Malevolent and did the trimmed and custom fit upgrades myself. Took some time but saved a ton of money. Just finished making a second set of masterwork to repair it when necessary.
jesus christ is there anything protoxx DOESNT have a guide for? lol. was definitely expecting some random youtubers when i looked up trimmed masterwork on youtube. definitely not complaining by the way, i prefer protoxx guides.
holy moly, I had no idea it was that expensive for the tmw set now. Made mine during release for maybe 85m. Super helpful, use it whenever I can since it degrades so slow lol.
the better way would be to ask mentenance of it, but onice the budget is maded and mentenance cost is sustain there must be a upgrade to progress in the game, achiving best armour in the game I think is a target
I bought elite sirenic thinking it was melee spending 440m on it mai 16 2020, watching this i realise its this armour i had to buy This 'Can i wear a goblin chainmail?' moment hit me straight back to lumbridge :( rip bank
Awesome video! Two questions: 1. If I only do slayer, no bossing, is it worth it? 2. If I already bought masterwork and already augmented the top and bottom, is there a way to salvage those towards trimmed masterwork (example, the repair cost), or did I just waste money? Thanks!
Hmmmm... 1 Depends on your budget, you don't per say need it. If you have a lot of spare cash then just get it 2 Use this item runescape.wiki/w/Equipment_separator
If you can spare the money, I'd say yes to 1. Since it doesn't degrade, it actually reduces your hourly upkeep compared to regular MW, so you earn it back in a few hundred hours. It's also great if you plan on tryharding things like ripper demons or moss golems with a cannon.
masterwork armour is cheaper and trimmed is about 200m more expensive now. i bought masterwork before immediately deciding to just get trimmed and gave the regular masterwork to my friend. custom fitted it too so i'll be good for a while.
Your math is incorrect at 2:53 for the 7k hit taken with 3 pieces. Each piece worn is 10% taken off the original hit, meaning a 7k hit would deal 5384 damage up front, leaving 1616 damage to be bled over 5 hits of 323 each.
I heard that the augmented trimmed custom fit set doesn't lose charge or degrade during slayer, reaper, or elite dungeon. Is it both or does it just not degrage during those activities and locations and still lose charge from the charge pack?
Could always get malevolent in place of masterwork if you want to spend less. Malevolent does degrade but when you're done with it you can just turn it into that malevolent energy
@@ProtoxxGaming upfront cost of malevolent is half of masterwork (30.8m for a full set) and when you get enough money for masterwork you can turn it to malevolent essence (not energy like I misspoke up there ^) so it's a cheaper entrance to t90 power armor if you didn't have 60m for MW and would be enough to get you the gp for tmw. Both are good options just depends how much someone is willing to spend on a melee set
@@thedwick5866 I know what you mean but you"d be better off sticking with bandos and using cheap elder rune or something instead, you always lose some energies by destroying it in the wild or red portal Edit: I missread your comment. Fuck energy and essence for being so similar lol I suppose it all depends on the budget
Elite Sirenic is hella expensive and it costs you more money than it will make you pretty much anywhere. Useful for records and spending unwanted money.
But to repair Trimmed Masterwork Armour, you'll need an equivalent piece of regular Masterwork armour, which will be consumed in the process, so Trimmed Masterwork (custom fit too) has extremely, EXTREMELY high repair cost.
if you can make the gp to repair it in the time it takes to degrade, you shouldn't even be doing pvm. it doesn't degrade in elite dungeons so literally just do them to make the money when it's at like 10%.
Grey Crimson outside of elite dungeons and slayer yes; those two are the best solo able bosses for using tmw but you have to realise you take 50% damage of ALL HITS in a single hit and then the other 50% damage is spread over a bleed so it’s super fucking overpowered you can tank a absolute butt load of heavy hitting attacks with trimmed masterwork
especially since if your armor is about to break and you are low on funds, you can just run elite dungeons without it draining and charge them in no time
I’m getting this, masterwork spear, amulet of souls, warriors ring, cinderbane with incense sticks and weapon potion +++ to see if I can finally defeat the ambassador
I would advice sellers, as a friend of mine that certainly isnt me, has done that for about 2bill by now and nobody cares But that would be illegal, so I wont do that
@@ProtoxxGaming the problem I have here is that in order to do those high level PVM, you need (1) high level gear and (2) Understand the boss really well and just be good. Recently I think I've spent more on reclaim fees than actual profit from bossing. Lets also not forget the fact that you have to be rich first to get high level prayer skills and herb. From now until whenever that finally occurs. There is going to be huge and almost idle time span when it comes to the amount of money one can make.
Would this make soloing nex with melee(scythe) smooth? I don't have the armour at the moment but maybe youd have some experience(or anyone else for that matter could reply to this). Would be good to know ^.^ amazing video btw!!!
This makes no since in the description is stated. Ill be coving if trimmed mastword is worth getting if you have the money. Well yeah if i had the money id buy all the shit i wanted. Anything is worth it if you have the money to blow on it might as well.
the stats are barely different, the video is mostly about the set affect, if you are talking about an in general t90 vs t92 video, not just masterwork, those have already been done
@@Daltonownzyoulol because you get to address overall costs and whether the benefits outweigh disparity. That and you give attention to the lack of t92 set effects on range/mage.
Try it out, the problem the os community as a whole has, is that they only played eoc and haven't touched rs3 since then. But rs3 players have played and still play os, so yes give rs3 another shot you might like the bossing and slayer a lot more than os.
On the wiki I read that trimmed masterwork armour could not be augmented but i asked a guy on rs3 and he said it can be. Anyways, I'm pretty sure it's only the plate body and the plate leg's that can be augmented
