Who am I?
Hey guys- I'm Shirin, I'm a doctor and graduated from King's College London (in London! of course!) and moved to America to pursue my dream of residency training in the USA! I'm a first year resident (intern) and I live with my husband who is also a doctor from the UK! I share all things Medicine, Fashion and general life on this youtube channel and on my instagram page @halalgirlnewyork !

This was beautiful to watch. I remember praying for you to match, my hubby is an IMG and matched in family medicine about 10 years ago! I can imagine all the feelings you were going through at that moment. I am a London transplant too (went to nursing school in the UK) before joining my hubby in TX. Now a nurse practitioner. It’s been a pleasure watching you and your twin this past year! 🙏🏾

As an IMG who is now an attending in the USA, I am so happy for you. Don't let anyone bring you down. Keep on working for your medical, family, and personal goals! Secondly it's amazing that your husband matched into dermatology as an IMG. A video on how he did that and what kind of stats he had in his cv such as research would be great

YAAAAAY CONGRATS I'M SO SO HAPPY AND RELIEVED AS IF IT WERE ACTUALLY ME WHO MATCHED 😂 Internal Medicine is such a nice specialty! It's very rich with almost a sense of a continuous adventure haha Although I want to follow the route of surgery I certainly am interested in it and would love to see more of it

Hello Dr. Shirin, I am a third year medical student and was wondering if you would advise me to sit Step 1 before January 2022 (during my fourth year) rather than during FY1 due to the new Step 1 changes regarding the reporting of results with Pass or Fail.
