In 1972 Marlena was on the Dating Game. I was Bachelor #2. She selected me and Jim Lange sent on our dream date to Leavenworth, WA for the Apple Blossom Festival. Unfortunately for an unknown reason she did not go on the date so I took a friend.
So, my mom was 38 years older than I, old enough to be my grandma; but we LOVED watching this show together! She died in June 2016, and watching these episode brings back wonderful memories (and now at age 55, I understand stuff she laughed at that I didn't quite get, LOL!). Thanks for uploading!

She is *way* up the list of the best ever contestants but nobody will ever top that adorable old Southern frumpy who finally won and the whole cast came out from behind the podiums to fan her and give her a chair. The whole thing was so incredibly adorable that it chokes me up a little just thinking about it right now. My 17-year-old daughter's best friend is a clone of Marlena. They've know each other since Kindergarten. I've many times said that if anything were ever to happen to her parents or living situation, I would 'ADOPT' her in a heart-beat as she is the most kind and loving-yet simple minded girl I've ever known! She makes ever dull place seem amazing... If you are a guy that happens to meet a woman like this...MARRY HER as soon as you can before another does before you...you will never be sad, dull, bored, etc for the rest of your life!!!

It is funny/ironic that a question came up and the best answer was "nude"! One of my Favorite Movies of all time stars Juliet Mills and Jack Lemmon in Avanti! A very Cute comedy, a MUST see, that has Jack and Ms. Mills doing a very soft nude scene done in very good taste while swimming in the Mediterranean Sea!
