Look at the episodes from Christmas and New Years, where everyone talks about having seen parades and bowl games that haven't occurred yet. Five episodes filmed in a single day, yet Gene and the panelists are all in different clothes for each episode.

Back then, there were plenty of things you couldn't joke about. You couldn't tell dirty jokes. The civil rights era of the 50s and 60s were not that far in the past, and people were very careful about "race" jokes. It's not that the times were less sensitive, they were just sensitive about different things. Also, people were much more careful about what they said about authority figures.

she makes the other celebrities look dumb so that no one would notice that she's is the dumb one LOL, and it's not funny, she's very hostile towards the other celebrities like if she was jealous of some of them specially the female ones. the show could have been more harmonic and less draggy without her. I'm surprised the producers never told her to stop it, she probably got lots of complains.

I don't think it was actually said straight out, but there were inferences as such. I remember at least one occasion where Gene took a sip of it and acted as though it was very strong alcohol.
