That was the hardest head-to-head match I've seen so far. Nothing decent came to mind, and the answers given by the contestant and RD were on the lame side too. Of the audience suggestions I managed to hear, "Melancholy Baby" was perhaps the best.
I am very tempted to skip the remaining episodes with Gary. He is extremely annoying, disrespectful to contestant (in previous episodes), always has a story before giving his often wrong answers and has to have the last word in non-funny zingers. He is worse than Brett. Yeah, I said it!
On shows like this, you need funny words not complex sentences (there isn’t enough time). Like: “you don’t say” or “wait a darn minute.” Garry tries to go for the five minute story, then joke, punch line, and then full explanation.
I heard that after this episode there was another episode in the parking lot when some fella called Hoss was waiting for Gene, as Gene found his cattle a rustled Little Joe was revving up the get away car.
I knew it, I knew it. gary IS going to run around the effing set at the top of every show like a 2 year old. GOD he`s cringe worthy. Everybody must be praying for the day Charles comes back.
Gary is somewhat cringy. He steps on people’s shticks and doesn’t let them get their jokes out, almost like he wants to hog all the attention. I wouldn’t say I want him to go, though - he has his moments where he legitimately is funny, and sometimes he comes up with brilliant answers.
Yeah, me neither. Up here in Washington State, we have dogfish, which are basically little sharks, about a foot long. I said that, but I don't know if dogfish were indigenous to California.

I'm guessing he snorted some Coke before the show. He's been maniac on many of the shows. He's trying too hard and taking to long with the jokes. McClain Stevenson had the same over the top energy. I wonder if he did some lines before the show too?
Jo Ann was right (19:38): The answer was so obvious it screamed out: Mouse fish! (And when Richard and Brett agree, you know it's got to be the definitive answer!)
Do the stars even try to match? Sometimes they are just stupid, but love the show anyway. I mean, mouse fish, really?????! Everyone knows the contestant gave the right answer, tuna fish.
I watched Match Game for years. The questions were so stupid and so hard to answer in such a short time. I don’t know who was in charge to come up with the questions. I mainly watched to hear the dumb questions. So much went on during that show that would be banned now. So much sexual harassment. Was disgusting. Best celebrity ever was Charles Nelson Reilly.
I probably should be annoyed by Gary, but all I can really think about whenever I see him is a whole bunch of Gary's trapped in a vault, eternally saying "Hahaha, Gary" Sure, it's nothing related to Match Game, but neither is all of Gary's "funny" things
