Match your colours - A7iii, Mavic pro, GH5 & GoPro 

This method proves he is very talented and experienced on color, but for everybody else would be difficult, the easiest way to do it would be use the color checker he showed at the beginning, that's what is supposed to use it for, you record a couple of seconds (including the drone) at the beginning so you can match exposure and contrast correctly (using the black, middle gray and white) and then use the color squares to create a correction LUT (3D LUT creator, online LUT creator), so that's for color matching, after a couple of years of doing this now I do it like JW does, by eye, but at the beginning I don't think is a good idea

Thanks for all your Infos in this Video, Joo. It make it a lot easier fro me to bring the footage from my GH5, EOS R, Phantom 4 And Pana HC1 together.

Why not just use the plugin from X-rite to automatically match the colors based on your Passport color checker? Or even the Premiere color match function also based on the frames that include your color checker? And then do the remaining manual tweaking if necessary?

Great lesson on learning the basics to Colour Matching. I much rather see you using DaVinci Resolve! So many I know are done with Adobe Prescriptions and switched over since version 15! I purchased the full Studio version the beginning of 2019. Now I OWN IT!! The monthly payment I use to have to Adobe I'm now saving for new equipment I will also own :) Freedom!!! It was a learning curve the first month but now I'm comfortable. Hope to see you back there :)

I have these two same cameras and i want to make some dialoge clips, that i would use 2 caeras of mine instead of shooting different angels all the time.. again and again.. but this colour matchng seems very hard.. i will do my practice and lets see

I bought the classic color meter but for the life of me cannot get it to open in premier as a small box as you seem to? All I can manage is opening the CCM program but it displays quite a large display box that cannot be resized (is this right?) this makes things difficult as it obstructs premier's open windows. It would be cool if I could work out how to resize the CCM display box like you managed in your video. Anyway thanks again, I am looking forward to finally being able to get better camera matching between cameras especially Canon 5D_mk3/R5, Lumix_GH5, and the Sony A7s iii. Kind regards. Hugh

Hey man, I just wanna let you know I recently did a shoot where I had a 70D as a b-cam. I used your std to Vlog lut on Canon's neutral profile and it completely matched the GH5's color space! Wow! I haven't checked any waveforms or scopes, but from my eye, they are indistinguishable! Can I have an explanation as to how you made this conversion lut is so universal?

Does this apply for log footage as well?
