Wow! What a fantastic makeover for both the vehicles.😍 The ice cream man was a surprise. He looks great painted.🍦✔ The canteen vehicle interior is magnificent! To top them both off is an outstanding diorama with people. Somethings don't change with time. This is a wonderful timeless display!👍🏻👍🏻
Significantly better than either the mint original in a box or any other version of a restoration or a customisation. Top notch high quality model work. Brilliant, take a bow.
This certainly is one of my favourite diecast restoration/transformations of late. I llike the clever use of food colours on the vehicles and how it all blends-in well with the diorama. 👍Excellent Job, Danny! 👍
Superb. The custom paint brings the casting details to life. Can't say much more than the comments section already has. Your best work yet. I think the ice cream man is standing in a pool of ice cream. The machine exploded. I'll have a steak and onion pie with sauce, and a white tea, no sugar.
Nice work again Danny :) Those few figures (and especially the children) bring the diorama to life... I can already hear the boy in the red shirt whining that he wants an icecream ;)
Great work Danny, I love the custom paint jobs on these, the ice cream van looks real apart from the giant guy in the back, its like he's standing in a hole in the floor.
Oh wow! Really great custom restoration on both these iconic old Matchbox " canteens." The paint on both really pops. The detail you added to the " takeaway" was really cool. Stainless steel counters and boiler. A great old brass cash register. Really nice. And what can I say about Mr Whippy. It's all spiffed up. Himself and his new company truck. Great stuff. Thanks. See ya next time
The ice cream man must be related to Dorf (Tim Conway character)with his short legs. I was looking at the over spray on the side of his head thinking oops got paint on him and then the frame changed and I literally said "WOW" out loud, He came out awesome. The vehicles look amazing, the extra details really make them pop and the dioramas put them over the top. I had things to go do I felt guilty for not starting them but the end result was worth the guilt of not getting going this morning lol Thanks for sharing Mike from Texas,Take Memories,Leave Footprints
What an amazing restoration plus! Well Done! I had the ice cream truck when I was a kid. Mine was the cream version. Really enjoy your channel and your skills! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I love it always a masterpiece love that diorama u always make the best and coolest stuff with these cars u are a true inspiration and a master of your craft
Hello there, you have just created some incredible restorations. I always loved both these classic models, and you have taken them to whole new level. As they say knocked it out of the ball park, or cricket in my case! Keep them coming. Loved the display base too!
Two very nice restorations and a simple but lovely little Diorama. The details of the snack trailer interieur looks so beautiful but could sadly barely seen.. I would like the decals on the other side of the trailer to or at least the black and white stripes going around. Same with the icecreamvan. A "Mr. Wippy" decal and stripes as on the sides on the rear would look great.
What a result Danny !! 👌 The detail work really brings these two to life. Maybe slightly strange choice of colours but they really do work.👍 Using fewer decals has made a huge difference to the ice-cream van, although I agree with the comment about "MInd that ****** Child". Your detail painting is becoming a bit of a "trade-mark" of the channel and I'd love to see more old Matchbox models getting the treatment. Cheers for now, Dougie.
A couple of really nice builds Danny and a great Diorama to finish with . The guy in the icecream van reminds me of the Joe the ice cream man who still comes around our street in the summer months to this day, from when l was a kid some 40 odd years ago . And yes we have Mr Whippy ice cream vans in the UK aswell 👍😀
Terrific work. The interior detailing gives it that extra zing. In my neck of the woods we didn't have Mr. Whippy, we had Mr. Softee. In fact I still have a tintoy Mr. Softee truck. Anyway, The customizations are fantastic and the diorama is excellent.
I love this one, probably one of my favorites. But that ice cream man really looks odd and out of proportion to the vehicle itself. If he had legs, he’d be towering over the thing. He’d be a true freak of nature. I loved the detailing and the diorama too, really makes the scene.
He does look a bit odd. The more I look at him though, he's wearing a long coat, rather than a jacket, which helps a little bit. Part of his legs will be under the coat. I did wonder if the other figures were were "HO" scale. If so, replacing them with "OO" scale people might help a bit, make everyone a more similar size. Just a thought.
Lovely colours and decals, very nice detailing on interior and icecream salesman. 😀 Beautiful diorama, not too much stuff on there, just what it needs.
amigo danny restauración fantástica personalizada, el diorama wow un trabajo impresionante un video fabuloso.. felicitaciones colega exitos x100pre ... 👋👍👏💪🤝
Memories of Mr Whippy from my childhood when we would run out to get a ice cream from him,the canteen is really nice and very different from the original produced by matchbox.Nice diorama to add the final touch....excellent work Danny ...

The ice cream van man is something special. Not only does he not have any legs, he also has a head which is disproportionately large for his body. I guess selling ice cream from out of the back of a van was the only job he was suited to. Poor fella.
