Matej Bonini - 'Shimmer' 

Track 1 of the 2021 Rostrum+ compilation which features the world premieres of commissioned works by Slovenian composer Matej Bonini, Estonian composer Maria Kõrvitsa and Finnish composer Sebastian Hilli, winners in the 2016-2018 Rostrum Youth Category.

The goal of the Rostrum+ project was to promote contemporary classical music both in Europe and elsewhere. The springboard for the project was the international composers' rostrum organized by the International Music Council, which for more than 65 years has brought together up to 40 national broadcasters with the aim of exchanging their latest recordings of contemporary music.
In close cooperation with Swedish Radio P2, the three composers who won the Rostrum in the Under-30 category were commissioned to create a new piece, which was then performed by the Swedish ensemble Norrbotten NEO. Concert performances of all new works were recorded at Studio Acusticum in Piteå, northern Sweden.
