White on white is sterile Marble and wood looks weird Its all about the story you can tell with it and he is pretty good wth it Im now curious what materials DONT fit with eachother.

I do like the effect of the wood bracing on the concrete but I'm not keen on the holes in the wall left by that very same bracing. I do love rammed earth walls though they are very costly to have done.

I love this. You should design a tiny home that anyone could copy

My fav materials are Steel, Stone, Concrete, Wood and Glass. For me when combined well have a feeling of being very comforting, natural solidity about them.

Engineered timber like found in Europe can now meet and exceed steels strength over long distances.

Personally I don't usually like White on White look, feels to sterile for my liking. For me I much prefer earthier tones and contrasts but complimentary materials.

i think the marriage materials would be 1. marble and wood 2. steel and glass etc.....somehow i m not agreed with this vid

white on white and white on wood are my favourites, but I need to challenge myself to break away from that combination (when appropriate)! Thanks for this, and many other, interesting and educational videos!

How about glass and steel? Does that sound like a good match?

how do you feel about clear walls(selective) that might show off the interior makings of the plumbing/electrical/structural components of a wall. I am a carpenter by trade but I work in tandem with the other contractors and my fiance said that it would be nice to have an "example wall with a clear wall to highlight all the work that went into something people outside the construction field considered normal on the outside." the problem I found with this was that in all the walls she found "cool" were the interior plumbing walls.
