Duno if it's him or the guitars, probably both, but this is one of the best oldschool vintage guitar sounds I've ever heard

In my opinion - most of his playing is samey, especially the chord melody noodling that he does. It all seems to run around the same tempo as well.

Well maybe it wasn't the mood you were looking for at that time. Sometimes it's good to hear some upbeat music, I agree. Some speedy licks and intervals... Tone was great nonetheless. But hey,you don't get sponsored by Suhr, Bogner and a few others and tour world wide with Torri Kelly and Jessie J by being "samey".
