My son is more so on a second grade level but has not mastered regrouping dbl digits nor three digits, 6:26 but he’s above primer level. Would alpha help him or be too advance for him to be introduced to those at that level?
Very helpful. Glad I didn’t buy primer! My kindergartener basically just finished a curriculum similar to Primer and is ready for more challenge. Thank you!
Hi. Here is a link to the Math U See Digital Packs. If purchasing the digital pack, you get lifetime access to the digital streaming videos. Per their website, the videos are accessed through a browser and can be streamed through any browser. I hope this helps! Thanks! store.demmelearning.com/math-u-see/elements/digital-packs
If I want very strong place value instruction, will I get that starting in alpha rather than primer. I don't need anything else from primer. Is alpha an excellent place value place to start?
Hi! For Primer and Alpha you could possibly skip the DVD and just teach using the teacher's manual. For the blocks and student book, you really can't skip those. Some families try to use other place values blocks, legos, or laminated colored paper. Those ideas are ok but you do really need the MUS blocks. They are part of every lesson, especially at the Alpha/Primer level. There are many used curriculum websites and Facebook groups, plus Ebay. You could always look for used blocks and teacher manuals. I hope this helps! Thanks.
