Its such a shame Bella's mic was broken, her vocals were extremely en pointe! It looks spectacular to see all 8 Matildas performing together, such a special moment!
In all honesty, I like the echoey sound bella had without her mic. I know her mic was broken but I just found her “lie upside down” part really satisfying to hear with that echo sound
I'm guessing you are referring to the order they first sang in. So in that case we hear Sasha Rose sing without actually seeing her on camera until just afterwards? A pity about Bella's mic apparently not working properly. Personally I prefer the Sydney cast, but they are all great.
I've heard a number of versions of "Quiet" and I think this is the best! I really love this song. Although I don't think I've ever experienced or felt things this way (like everything being so loud and overwhelming and then suddenly becoming quiet), I feel a connection to this song.
This is phenomenal! It was choreographed so beautifully and sing flawlessly! Quite possibly my new favorite live performance! Brought a tear to my eye. Well done!
Bella was definitely the best one, her voice is insanely clear and tuneful! Such a shame about her mic though! ( She also looks quite similar to Mara in the movie)
000euMJ the original Aussie Matilda's has left the show in early 2016 and since grown much taller. The other four Melbourne Matilda's are still short enough for Matilda
There’s two girls who have the right accent but the rest don’t sound like us British at all, especially the girl singing ‘and if we are travelling at almost the speed of light’
dance moms relived It’s because their Australian, only one was English, I think they did pretty good, I mean when you were that age could you put on an accent from another place around world, whilst singing at a competition? I think they did really good.
The third girl really got me. And the little blonde girl. The taller blonde her voice sounded too old for the part for me. It needs that young very childlike since Matilda is supposed to be 5.
Nothing can compare to when you first heard this musical and who from you form an attachment and your impression/opinion on it, unless it's them you will always feel the performer falls short. Hold the old Matilda's in your heart and just go with the flow and enjoy the new Matilda's. Every girl has her own unique spin and take on the character and will be different and perform different. It would be boring if they were all the same wouldn't it??
@@manniimoo I am a fully trained dancer/actress/singer and ex professional so i can hear it easily, i am shocked you can't hear it, i am from London so of course i know what people around me sound like too!
Matilda's sound need to have a British accent ,some of the girls were out of tune and pitchy, a couple of them were West End quality and a couple were ok .. the strong Aussie accent detracts from the performance of certain girls.. i am not going to point out specific girls as it is not fair but have to be honest...
@@kdeggraham895 Not in a Broadway or West End show ... my Goddaughter was young Cosette at the beginning of last year and they start off with hundreds of girls for one part and she had 6 auditions including one with Cameron Mackintosh so no there is no room for any poor performances
