Matt & Abby Break Silence About Cruise! Are They Lying?! 

If they brought baby monitors on the cruise ship, their intentions were always to leave them alone while they went out.

I got lost on a cruise ship at 8 years old. I still have nightmares about it and I didn’t even know how scary it truly was at the time.

Abby would have added a new story for clarification if someone was actually there. Instead she deleted the story and tried to hide it.

I would have respected the situation a lot more if they said we messed up big time. We didn’t think. We are so glad they are ok & we will NEVER do it again

If they had somebody with the kids they wouldn’t have to change the eating time to after bedtime. They specifically did after bedtime so they could ALL go and not have to bring the kids.

Putting them in a room at home is not the same as leaving your kids in a room on a cruise ship! Not at all!!😂😂

There’s literally no world in which Abby would be crying over a cancellation that was based on bullshit. The reason she’s crying is because she actually does feel bad when people tell her she’s not doing a good job mothering she always does. It’s the only reason she ever cries on the Internet and it’s because she actually does feel mom guilt a lot. That’s why she’s crying because she knows she’s guilty and that she did wrong and that she shouldn’t have done it and that she’s caughtand has been outed as a bad mom

It was a 7-day cruise and they wrote the post on day 6, so no discrepancy there. That’s why she says 5 nights and on day 6 and/or 7 they came up with the brilliant idea to leave them alone and FaceTime the monitors. The post right before shows mom and grandma (two women at least) in the background and her referring to the “adults” as a whole group eluding to the fact that they ALL wanted a kid free dinner and left them there alone. Also mentioned the kids club was booked “slots were full” which means there was no option for child care. Lots of holes in this story.

2 things. 1. If you think taking a 1 and 2 year old on a vacation is going to be super fun and relaxing it won’t be. Young kids are tough when out of their routine. 2. The dumbest mentality to have is IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME.

How are they going to say it’s speculation and false when she literally posted it and said she FaceTimed a monitor….like…..you are the one who outed yourself and now suddenly it’s fake?

They got inside cabins for this exact reason, because it’s safer than having a balcony when you’re leaving your children unattended. The same reason they took the baby monitors. They knew they would be doing this.

I went on a cruise a couple years ago my kids were 6 and 3. They disliked kids camp so we took them with us. It was a hassle but that is parenting. Thankfully my mother in law watched them a couple times. I couldn't imagine leaving a 1 and 2 year old alone. Even with a baby monitor.

The ship has cameras everywhere. All it takes is for someone to show the footage of no babysitter entering the rooms, and all the adults leaving the rooms and they're toast. This is so easy to verify if it became legally necessary.

Cruises have sections that get locked down. Say there is a fire/smoke emergency and after 5 or 10 minutes the section that they sleep in gets locked down. They have no way of gerring in. And the kids are trapped. SMH!!

I saw someone make a really good point that if there were people in the room babysitting them so Matt and Abby could go to dinner, the babysitter would be the one who needed the monitor. Because if the children started stirring or woke up, the babysitter would be the one who has to respond to the children. Once I heard that point… it became a little too clear what the truth is here.

The fact that they took monitors on a cruise says it all. That's not normal. It just shows they planned on leaving them in that room

Basically the monitor would allow them to watch an abductor take their kids

Moral of the story. Do NOT post your personal life on social media. This is so wild. They are with family?! Just ask for help. Makes no sense.

My Mom was on a cruise this past week and weekend and we FaceTimed with her. The signal went out like 3 times during a 20 minute call. I can’t imagine watching a damn monitor with my kids half a mile away on a different floor! wtf

Just by her posts she seemed annoyed by the fact they brought their kids. It was so sad. Like 12 year olds that don’t want to take accountability for their children. I hope they get investigated!!!

I feel like this was their plan even before they left to go on this cruise. Baby monitors exist because it’s not possible to be in the same room as your YOUNG children 24/7 while you are home! It is literally a tool to help monitor your children but it’s not supposed to replace the responsibilities you have as parents. As far as I know, most parents don’t pack baby monitors to go on a cruise because they know leaving them alone for any amount of time isn’t even a consideration. If it wasn’t dangerous to leave your kids unattended on a cruise ship then there wouldn’t be an on board daycare!

Your kids sleep in blackout tents every night? In a million dollar house you don't have blackout curtains or does this tent contain them? That's even weirder to me. Maybe that's why they act like they can't bring them anywhere, these kids are not used to the world in regular light.

They are also so privileged that they probably don’t think anything will happen to them…

These people are so used to going on vacation without their kids that when they need to do what all us normal parents do and actually take our kids…. They can’t handle it. Boom!

Its interesting they did that quite well.. they added in much more details about the truths like who was on the cruise, etc and how the kids usually sleep at home blah blah, so they were able to be engaged and appear truthful, so they then could sprinkle in the awkward lie part to seem far less untruthful.

I can't stand Matt doesn't shock me coming from him but pretty disappointed in Abby. We all make mistakes and im not one to be very judgemental because i make mistakes as well, but i have never left my child not once! Their safety is the most important thing to me more so than traveling and having a night out, but i love my kids more than myself.

The tents done come with monitors on them. They just used a simple pack n play crib plus a slumber pod(black out tent). there are 2 pockets at the top where you can slip in your own baby cameras/fan. So it was premeditated that they purposely brought the baby monitors with them

It’s obvious they can’t handle their children. The kids are always with a family member, or locked in a tent, or left alone while their parents go do whatever. These people are so inconvenienced by their children it’s ridiculous.

This intro just continues to deliver! Absolutely here for it.

Not to mention if the kids woke up (especially griffin) they could be crying and crying waiting for them to walk across the ship to get to them. 2 year olds usually know how to unzip a zipper and leave a room

Another thing i thought of... if the grandparents were in the room, why is there a need for Abby to post the story and act like it's a "parent hack" ... if it was a normal everyday occurrence there would be no need to act like they really thought of something smart!

It greatly disturbs me that people can have kids just to get rich off of them and mistreat neglect abandon or abuse them and get 0 repercussions at all. CPS NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE AND SEE HOW OFTEN THIS ACTUALLY OCCURS

Yeah I think the biggest clue was that they booked 2 inside rooms and brought monitors, meaning there was no risk for them to escape to the balcony or hurt each other when left alone. They basically treated the room like a pack n play. Those inside rooms are pitch black, there’s no way the adults sat in there alone.

I’m by no means a body language expert but I’ve picked up on a few things from watching the behavior panel. 😂😂 Her hands tucked in between her legs shows that she’s nervous, scared and/or anxious. If she didn’t do anything wrong why would she be feeling like that.

It’s simple. Ask them who was watching the kids when she posted that. Someone on the cruise is about to leak a video proving no one was. If someone was actually watching the kids they would have said “guys my mom was in the room with them” or “my grandma”. They keep saying “someone”.

I am a mother an that is the face of a guilty mother she has been crying an upset she isnt even being genuine she is being semi sarcastic with her statements

I remember a documentary about a teenager that went missing from a cruise. Her name was Amy Bradley. Her parents did everything to find her for years and years but were met with so many obstacles… It was the creepiest story. I never forgot it even though I saw the docu like 20 years ago. And after Madeleine McCann, I don’t understand how anyone would risk leaving their small kids alone even for 30 seconds.

Honestly every time I left my room and came back, the cleaning man was in my room picking up. I mean every time. Leaving us chocolates, adding more soap to are rooms, fresh towels. He was on top of it. I’m wondering what would have happened if they walked in and the children were left alone? Im sure they would have been in trouble because this is so dangerous. A baby monitor can’t save your kids.

I did something similar when my eldest was 18 months old. I don't think I'd even do that now under the same circumstances now that I know what I know. I was 19. I could get to the room in under 30 seconds from where I was. It was a tiny hotel, we were there for a family wedding, the entire floor was taken up by people known to us. We had a baby monitor app watching our daughter on an iPad upstairs and my phone downstairs. Even with that we took it in turns to check every 5 minutes (we set a timer). Honestly now I think I'd bring a bassinet and have a child that small sleep next to me now. This was 11 ish years ago and I'm far more jaded now.

When I told my hubby about this he immediately was like what happens if they woke up alone and scared in a unfamiliar, dark room and mom and dad are gone? It immediately reminded him of something that happened when he was a toddler. My hubby got lost when he wasnt much older than their older son (I forgot his name) at Disneyland and he is 39 and still vividly remembers it. Cos it sadly caused him some lifelong issues. But since its not my story or place I'm not gonna go into more detail.. but I will say I think it most likely caused PTSD. And to make things even worst for the poor guy, he also got stung by a fucking BEE while he was lost. But since it was Disneyland luckily someone or a worker noticed him crying and he said they were really good about handling the situation and took him to like a special area and they gave him some water, toys and first aid. They also had one of the characters he liked (I think it was Mickey Mouse) come and say hi. Which he said actually really helped eaze his panic cos it was a good distraction. Of course his parents and brother were freaking out and they were reunited fairly quickly. I think what happened was they were in a crowded area and he got distracted and stopped to look at something for a sec and let go of his brother's hand and next thing he knew was his parents and brother were nowhere in sign. He was too little to know to stay put if you get lost. 😢😢😢

I'm sure they don't facetime the monitors when they leave the house for date nights..

What really pisses me off about them is how they act like parenting is so hard for them when they have family, help, tons of money and vacations. As a mom I have breakdowns sometimes at home with my kids where I leave them in their rooms safely so I can cry it out in the shower for a moment as my “self care” meanwhile they’re upset their kids (which they want MORE) are ruining their fun vacation so they left them alone in a room of a public cruise ship so they can sit and enjoy dinner????? They can cry me a river. I don’t remember the last time I went to a sit down restaurant after having kids

I love how they “addressed the rumours “, but never once say who was with the kids etc. Body language says a lot and they are liers liers pants on fire 🔥. I have zero respect for them and I hope CPS pays them a visit. Shame on them !

I sleptwalked out of my hotel room when I was 4, didn't know which room to go to. Manager found me, and some random lady tried to claim I was her daughter, I luckily said that's not my mom. I could have been kidnapped so easily. Thank God those kids are alright. Such negligence.

I knew a couple who would travel to foreign countries & leave their baby sleeping in their hotel room with no monitors or anything, no nanny, nobody there & would go party for hours while the baby slept ALONE!!! When I was outraged & told family, they blew me off. I had no proof. These people also were claimed millionaires. Hire a nanny to come with you!

Why wouldn’t you give the monitors to the adult in the room? If they sleep in the black out tents and you say you need the monitors when you as parents are in the room surely you’d give them to the supervising adult for the same reason? They’re lying to save face. I would’ve respected them more if they’d just been honest and said they made a mistake in judgment

A separate issue is that those blackout crib tents are not safe and not approved by regulators. I know tons of influencers use and promote them though. They could collapse and trap or suffocate the child. It is also an issue in an emergency for access.

The tension between them is so obvious... a very silly move on their part!!

About 5 months ago i got in trouble with matt and abby fot calling matt a narcissist in the comments and well she gaslighted me during one of their podcasts about it but how i am starting to believe they are both self serving narcissists and she doesnt actually love being a mother like she claims i never cleaned my house let alone anything else without my two small children being as close as they could be for me to keep an eye on them i never used baby monitors because i never really seperated myself from my kids when they were infants and toddlers. My son also was non verbal as a toddler it was hard taking him out and about because he also had sensory overload issues S.P.D and if over stimulated he would have meltdowns it was hard but even then i dealt with it head on like a parent should do not neglect my child or children. I dont like them at all anymore after this and i hope they have to answer to the law for abandoning and neglecting their children just to have dinner . Pathetic!

So why would they take the second monitor, if the person watching couldn’t view the kid they were watching?! They go to the ends of the earth to make sure their kids sleep(tents, two rooms, etc.)! …they wouldn’t want that person watching to have to open that tent to check on them…

No way in hell they had someone in that room. If they did, theyd say "we facetimed ____ while we were gone" not that thwy facetimed the monitors. That specifically means they set up a phone on the monitors and left them alone. I could understand if they all took turns watching the kids in the room and facetimed the ADULT in the room to include them on the conversations or periodically check in (dinner is like an hour and a half tops, they likely wouldnt even need to facetime and check in with another adult that the kids know, even if they did wake up). But specifically saying rhe monitors and no mention of facetiming an adult or naming the person in the room, theyre using semantics to try to get out of this.

My 13 year old mentioned this to me yesterday and even he knows how stupid and dangerous it was for them to do this.

I commented on Abby’s post about this issue. She hide all the negative comments and turned off all the comment sections to every post. She’s never been relatable, she made a video awhile back about having no help for a day and it was so hard, though her parents helped her the whole time.

Has anyone ever seen these "blackout tents" in their videos? I'm wondering if they are locking the kids in Cubby beds, which are like $14k locking beds made for special needs kids. It made me thing of that because she mentioned the monitor and noise machine is built into the bed. I can't even imagine putting a 1 and 2 yo in something like that without extenuating circumstances. Those poor kids...

I'm assuming what Abby means by taking the kids 5 nights, she means they went to the childcare center 5 of the 7 nights. Meaning, they were in the rooms on 2 nights 🤬 SMH

I shudder to think what could’ve happened to these littles. From being taken, to simply leaving the room on their own…..I’m glad they’re safe. Ridiculous move, Matt and Abby! They can cry crocodile tears all they want, there is no justification for this!

It gets to me when these influencers lie, and it’s not even a GOOD LIE! “Hey guys, we had the monitor on while grandma and grandpa were in each room. We were worried they might doze off so we wanted to keep an eye out just in case” They are awful for doing it, awful for lying about it, and awful for not even trying!

How do the people defending them not realize they are lying to cover their butts because their whole justification is that a family member was in the rooms with them and they just FaceTimed the monitors so they could see them as well as like “oh we just FaceTimed the monitor because we just need our eyes on our kids 24/7 no matter who’s with them because we are just that perfect of parents” but that all goes to crap considering they were perfectly fine leaving them in the cruise child care! With complete strangers! Without them having a baby monitor on them… so you trust them with complete strangers at the public child care but not with an immediate family member for one dinner

Now they're saying they had family members watching them in the rooms? If that was the case, why not immediately just post "guys my mom etc is in the room with them too!" after getting a bunch of concerned messages on the ig story? Why did it take them a few days to respond?

If you cant bring along a nanny, or leave children at home with family, or book a cruise that is family oriented so you are able to be with children or have them properly entertained then you really are not wealthy enough to be cruising. I am confused over children needing cribs with monitors attached, which makes you think infants/toddlers and then the dichotomy of talking about the children not liking the childcare facilities which are normally not geared to care for children under preschool age. If these kids are so young they have to be in cribs it unlikely they are going to be happily dropped off in a playroom to be cared for by strangers. That age child can take weeks of adjustment to staying in daycare while parents work and dont understand that a new place with strange caregivers is the same as the daycare they have attended for months or years. I guess they used more common sense than parking them in playpens in their bedrooms and leaving food around for them while they were gone, but only slightly. Its obvious that they are not hands on parents but very much employ remote parenting.

My thing is why didn’t she just say in the story that she posted that they were having a dinner and her grandma was in the hotel room with them ?

I also don’t believe they slept in separate rooms. I think the kids slept in one room and they slept in another
