Matt is just a normal dude. He's brilliant, in several different ways, but he knows we all are. His job may put him in a spotlight, but he is very aware that doesn't make him "better". He would definitely be in my top five for actors to go have a beer with. He tells amazing stories.

I remember watching this live (when I still watched the Academy Awards) and I bet my Mom they would win. I actually couldn't believe when they did but everyone loved this acceptance.

The camera panned to Minnie Driver for a quick second. She and Matt Damon had started dating after working together on this film. She found out through the media that he had broken up with her. I think he appeared on a talk show and said, “ I’m single”. She had no clue. So, when you see her in the audience here, she was devastated , not only because he broke up with her, but also because of the shitty way he did it. He had taken another woman to this ceremony along with his mom. It’s a blessing in disguise for Minnie that she didn’t end up with him. Breaking up with someone is an uncomfortable thing to have to do, especially if you’re the one initiating it. But there’s a right and wrong way to do it. He did it the wrong way. At least be a man and step up and face the woman you’re breaking up with and show some respect. He was a coward and didn’t give a shit. Not a fan.

It was a fresh young exciting time. Now look at them ! Power Houses who have gone all the way and still go n !

These two young men wrote one of the most heartfelt speeches in a movie that Robin Williams got to say, when he and Will were sitting on that bench near the pond. To me, no one could have brought that speech like Robin did. He is so missed, but thank God we've got this gem of a movie Good Will Hunting to forever remember him by and these two young men from Boston who wrote an amazing script and got it made. We are the lucky ones to be able to watch these two young men and the brilliant Robin act the stars out of the sky.

I remember sitting on my couch and just crying while watching this. We're close to the same age (I'm a little younger than them) and "Good Will Hunting" was and still is my favorite movie of all time. I wasn't 21 yet, so I couldn't go to the bar, so I went to see it in the theater A LOT. LOL Nothing to do on a Friday night? Take someone who hasn't seen it to the movies and watch them fall in love with it. My brother was in town visiting with his wife and I went with them. I was just like, "You have to see this film!" To this day, it's his favorite movie as well. (BTW We're both really excited about "Air." It looks great!)

To have it announced by Jack Lemmon too…his excitement for them was amazing.
