My favorite thing about Damon is how he doesn't take himself too seriously. Think about the Ocean's 11 movies; he basically played a dork while Clooney and Brad Pitt were the super cool dudes. When I think about the Fast and Furious movies where all those egos have it in their contracts they can't lose a fight or have to have the same number of punches and all of that. Matt Damon is the MAN. From Bourne to Oceans to Departed to the Martian and so much more. Massive Respect, and he just seems like a normal guy in his interviews. Please one more Bourne movie though!!!!!
That’s an excellent observation and I think what plays a role is Matt likely doesn’t see himself as an action hero, despite being in great action movies. While the Rock & Vin likely do see themselves as that, especially Vin.
I just watched "The Talented Mr. Ripley" again last night while streaming. In my opinion this is one of Matt Damon's best work. Like so many I was blown away by "Good Will Hunting". I wasn't sure if Damon could expand. He's gone beyond expanding. I love everything that he does. I even liked " We Bought a Zoo". A great actor and Jimmy Kimmel's best friend.
Well everything except he being Jimmy Kimmel's best friend I was down with LOl but all joking aside his performance in Talented Mr. Ripley is among the most underrated of all time. Look up a little seen film he did in 2008 called Green Zone. A brilliant film and another great underrated Damon performance.
Love Matt. He said he’s waiting for someone to give him a great script. The writing on Good Will Hunting was epic. I would have asked if he’s planning to do write more screenplay.
Every anchor, newsman, host, reporter and pundit should pay attention to how Dan Patrick runs things. No long, overblown set ups to questions. No boring monologues while we wait for the guest to speak. Dan just knows how to get to it. He's the best.
It’s sickening that movies and sports are now being taken over by antiseptic corporate entities like Amazon and Apple. The last few years most of the stuff I watch sometimes yes can be entertaining but still so inferior to movies that used to get made. Of course we need more superhero movies though right? Can never have too many of those. Anyway not against superhero movies as a genre just way tf too many being pumped out. And aside from that rant Matt is obviously a great actor, writer etc. So appreciate all the great work he, Casey, and Ben have done. Not do I blame them for working with what’s out there. And old man hey you kids get off my lawn bitching aside.. there are some very good TV series still being made.
Boston Commons???!!! Spoken like the townie who never got out of the neighborhood. (I know, he's Cambridge, not Charlestown.) And that's what makes him the most personable celebrity in the world.
Love DP, love Matt Damon, love Doug Liman, and would love to watch this film, but I don't have Apple+, and I won't be giving them my money. Not looking for sympathy, Just stating a fact.
Ol Dem dan. Damon was in a fighting film. Why hasn't ol Dem dan asked matty about the Albanian Man beating up the Italian woman in Olympic boxing. I wonder why..........
