There is a ton of cuts. They probably removed a lot of silence and not so good parts. It's still awesome crowed work that not many can do.

Like when he describes his idea for the sheet cleats, it doesn't seem like the first time he's told that on stage.

I think most of the show is spontaneous, but I highly doubt it was his first time doing that "sheet cleats" bit. Also, to call Matt Rife revolutionary is a bit hyperbolic. Matt seems to have developed and mastered his own distinct style of roasting which seems to be inspired by the crowd work pioneered by one of his mentors: Ralphie May. I feel comfortable calling Ralphie May revolutionary, but I think I'll keep Matt in the "powerfully distinct" category.
