Think about it. Would your boss take that as a legitimate reason to call out? I’m an essential worker, my boss would not care whatsoever! She would expect me to come in, on time, and be ready to work! No excuses, no tardiness, no time for that! 😂😂😂😂
My manager wouldn't take a zombie outbreak as an exercise to miss work! I'd have to take a personal day or a vacation day, but I'd still need to give two week notice!
Nick is wearing the most beautiful silk window curtain I’ve ever seen 😂. Truly, it is beautiful and something I’d lounge in to watch movies and go to sleep.
You are 100% correct. Corporate would say something like ", we're keeping a, close eye on developing situations, but expect all employees to report on time.". I used to work in retail. They're kind of monsters.
Someone needs to make a zombie movie with Nick as the main character. Just imagine him, waiting for a client to show an apartment to and he's complaining that they're late as the brooklyn bridge falls down in the background. Beautiful blouses and all. Dear Hollywood, please.
What about a zombie apocalypse will cause total structural failure lmao. New zombie movies are shit, the ones from the 80s where people just fence out the undead and the actual threat are other people fighting over resources with zombies being a boogeyman. Society won't fall apart overnight and buildings won't just suddenly fail
Or The last of us zombies (there are many different types of 'infected' like runners, crawers, lurkers, clickers are the blind ones that act like bats)
It also depends how far along things get before you realize what’s happening. With the right amount of coverups and exponential zombie population growth things can get out of hand before you can prepare. Resident Evil zombies, for example, come with coverups while others would be world news right away. Incubation period is also very important. Some types of zombies appear dead during their incubation period while others do not. Some catch it weeks before turning while others visibly become zombies almost instantly which is infinitely easier to control.
Nick smith is so insufferably squidward that it’s all I hear every time he talks. I’m like…lighten up squidward they’re just trying to be your frieeeeeeeends 😂❤
Too cute! ❤ It's not that he's never seen a zombie movie, it's that in this toxic city, we're conditioned that "ppl HAVE to work," so even in an apocalypse, he's like "Oh, got to go clock in so I can still barely afford the $3K rent on my studio apartment." 😂
Nick is right! No amount of apocalypse will keep people from hustling. I'm learning about France under Nazi occupation rn and most people still worked, even at the height of the fighting
Nick would be sitting there at the Olive Garden waiting for service and frustrated that everyone is running around but not bringing him any breadsticks. You know because the zombie apocalypse and all 😅
Based on my experience as a nurse during our practice apocalypse, they would still make us come to work in the early stages of turning into zombies (due to staffing shortages, we had to work even if we were sick).
I have had a plan since the early 80s. Head to toe leather to make it difficult for bites to penetrate. Also, I’d Vaseline my leather to make it difficult for a zombie to grab me. Migrate north where it is always cold. That way the zombies are slower if not completely frozen solid. But what about food, asked nobody. Small hothouse-like structures over raised flowerbeds to grow nutrient dense food
What I love about Nick and Mateo is Mateo is very cultured and intelligent and Nick is not, and that only enhances the experience of watching them together. I mean no shade against Nick, it’s a big world and we have lots of different personalities out there. But what I love about Nick is he says what he thinks, he gets corrected, and he admits that he has no idea what he’s talking about. Those are such fun people because they’re so honest and open to learning, they just never had the opportunity and/or interest in the past. And if Nick learns something new and doesn’t like it, he says so. For example, when talking about Italian food, Nick learns things like chicken parmigiana don’t exist in Italy and he accepts it but doesn’t care because he likes the taste. Nick’s personality is so carefree, I love seeing it!
I just watched one of your older sets where you described Nick and I’m laughing so hard because you’re so spot on. I don’t remember exactly what you’re exact description was, but basically it was an effeminate man who sounds like squidward 😂
It's dark but as a non-rich normie side character, I'd definitely lock myself in, raid the kitchen and then defenestrate myself once the food is gone. I'm way too adjusted to city life to become some main character survivor brandishing a machete and I'm not waiting around to be bitten.
Head to home depot and board up all my windows. Or go to my friend's in a smaller town than where I am and we go to his friend's in the middle of nowhere on a farm with a fair bit of food growing. I have first aid training, adequate with guns and archery. We all know how to forage, make fires, and fish. We're in the flatlands, so we'll see any incoming enemies.
