Mahalo for watching our staycation! For more things to do on Maui, check out our amazing itineraries at thehawaiivacationguide.com/maui and our recommended tours on our website here: thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-recommendations/
One thing I love about your videos is you focus on things tourist should be doing and not highlighting secret local spots. Other social influencers are ruining the island, while you show people how to treat it with respect.
Mahalo Laura! We appreciate that as that is exactly our goal. It is reckless to recommend secret spots as they are on private land and/or dangerous. We want people to come back to Hawai'i, not be swept out to sea.
My wife and I were there last week (7.19.2021) for a couples massage.......I have never had a massage and it was awesome!!! If you go, ask for Tina, she was really respectful of the fact that it was my first massage and made it really enjoyable. We have also had the brunch that they offer and can recommend that as well, it is pricey, but the food is excellent and the view is even better!!!
Thanks for another video! When I began watching over a year ago I never thought I would ever try any of the adventures you videoed, but now I’m all in on every thing once we get moved. ❤️🙏❤️
Thank you for the best up close and personal tour!!! That's the biggest catamaran I've seen... Wow, what a grand staycation you had! Greetings from a California gramma 😄🌴🌺
Figured it was early in year you went there- place was empty! That must have been nice. I am sure it’s not like that anymore. At least it wasn’t the last time I was there. Nice to see Molokini Crater, I never get tired of that place. Although, going to the backside is reason enough to become a certified diver. The shark “cleaning station” is fantastic to behold! Great channel guys!
I've wanted to go back there for some time now! I didn't know about the cleaning station. Very cool. The crater plummets to an abyss on the backside, I would love to see it.
You look so pretty in your sun dress! And that Mai tai yum! Because of your suggestion we went on the Kai Kanani, AMAZING! Totally recommend. Thanks for all your help to make our Hawaii islands vacations awesome.
Thanks for the content! I planned my Oahu trip in March based on your videos. Planning a trip now to Kaua’i and Maui in November. Your videos are so fun and informative!!
We just got back from our Maui-Oahu trip Sunday and stayed at the Four Seasons next door. We definitely will check out the Grand Wailea next time just for that pool alone. Btw, Monkeypod is a spot on dining spot. .
We were randomly upgraded from the most inexpensive room type to one of their Napua Club level huge suites. I told my husband we will never be able to go back because the bar was set so high 😂 it’s wonderful though! Hope to return someday!
I hate when that happens! 😂 Our last stay at The Royal Hawaiian they upgraded us to the ocean view and larger room. Same, can’t go back without that room again.
We love Grand Wailea. Stay there several times. Love your travel guide. Nice drone shots of the beach. Are you launching them from the beach? I found drones very restricted in Maui.
Great video, thank you so much. We are staying in Grand Wailea in September. Quick question: do you recommend their Luau or should we look into some other Luau?
Looks like so much fun! Our trip to Maui has been postponed for two years now. Hopefully summer of 2022 will work! We were looking to stay on Kaanapali Beach, but this looks wonderful too! What would you recommend between the two beaches?
that is a tough question. I like Ka'anapali beaches better as they are longer and wider. Wailea has three large coves that make it more intimate but for walking one has to use the boardwalk. See our article for more info on the two areas: thehawaiivacationguide.com/kaanapali-vs-wailea/
Hi, do you take turn to snorkeling and the other takes care of the kid when you are on a tour? or can he come with you guys on a floating board? thank you. excellent video. thanks so much for sharing
That restaurant looked pretty empty. You had mentioned that restaurants are packed right now because everyone is vacationing again, is that not the case anymore? Are there a lot of empty restaurants like that avaliable for walk ins?
Thanks for watching. We have a caption in the beginning of the video that it was filmed in April. Also, we got there when it opened as that is life with a toddler!
If you guys had to choose either Queen Kapiolani Or Aston wich one would you choose. Or do you have any better ideas that are affordable like these 2...
I have been trying to book a reservation for sunrise at Haleakala for a month now for 8/27-9/3 with no luck. Do you know why dates show NOT RELEASED on the website. Thank you.
I see what you are talking about. I'm not sure why they are all listed as NR. You can try a tour operator as they get tickets. We like the tour offered by HawaiiTours.com, they are a local company,
Can anyone tell us where is better to stay Wailea or Kihei please? We are not getting very far trying to book our trip or neither, please help. Clare from the UK.
They are very different on the price point. Wailea is more luxurious while Kihei has more value places to stay. Wailea is quieter while Kihei is more in town. Start with this list of vacation rentals and see the links inside for Kihei vs Wailea details. thehawaiivacationguide.com/best-vacation-rentals-in-wailea/
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide Thank You so much for answering, I like the idea of being in town yet we don't want a basic hotel either, I don't even know if this is possible to have the best of both worlds.I am going to look at your lists for sure before we book anything. You are so helpful. Clare and my mother, Susan in the UK.
Nice video, but NEVER GO TO MONKEY POD! Way too loud and my entire family got food poisoning from it and I was sick for 3 out of my 7 days in Maui do not recommend.
Please stop vlogging about maui and encouraging tourist to come in the island at this time of pandemic. We have alot of cases again and locals can’t even enjoy eating at their favorite restaurant or enjoy the beaches because its full and crowded. Even school opening this year isn’t sure to open or they will do distance learning again. Your vlog is important to you but please do something for the community if you’re a true local. Protect are kupuna first and our children. Stop encouraging tourist to come here during this time. Mahalo.
Terrible hotel for the money. Writing this in the actual Maui airport. We just left the Grand Wailea. I will say the pool and the beach are fantastic! But amenities were sub-par. They charged 65 dollars a day to valet ur rental. Every other hotel charges 40. If ur looking for a world-class hotel with top notch everything. Turtle Bay Resort is it. I wish they had opened up in Maui.
We appreciate the comment. We checked in today to do another review after the remodel. The pool is great but yes. The resort fee and the parking fee is outrageous. They stressed the resort fee covers the WiFi at checkin. Haha
