Top speed on 2s using 50c battery was 48km/h (30mph)
Top speed on 3s using 35c battery was 72km/h (45mph)

I have the same rc with the same 3s battery.. If I'm on pavement and just hammer it. No joke it jumps about 2 feet in the air and lands on the top and slides.. It's awesome

Great value for money and a great car, just make sure the motor stays tight and does not move or it mashes up the spur gear, after a year I upgraded to a metal spur gear

The heatsink will not help that much, remember guys to read the manual, which i'm pretty certain will advise to lower the gearing, for running 3S. You'll loose some speed, but the motor and ESC will be much safer and the car will rip uphill much better.

It don’t need to change pinion or spur gear, only change esc fam to 12v or power 5v fan directly from receiver, if you ask me 2S is plenty fast enough to satisfy needs, it is a monster truck not on road 3s = broken LOL........

@@markymark9407 Just broke my truggy with 3S, but I was carefull and had almost full pack run offroad, once the battery started dropping voltage, I moved to tarmac and two not very strong hits into the kerb hidden in leaves broke rear drive hub. I'm guessing it was the cold that just added that little extra brittleness to the steel. Really bad luck.

@@polishguywithhardtospellna8227 HD drive hubs available, I think not needed on the front with the CVJ shafts, I’m going to fit the HD shafts on front and Rear, and stick with 2S 👍🏻

@@markymark9407 e-firestorm in Poland doesn't have good parts support anymore, so unavailable. I heat treated mine myself and it did the job, but the cold and hardening might have made them that right amount of brittle to snap. Bad luck, even standard ones are hard to get. Only 2 stores, ordered, got email it's out of stock.... Waiting till 18 Dec for restock. Other store has them on the website bit more expensive, so will try and wait, who knows if they actually arrive

Great car, I bought the Truggy the other day. The only down side is, it has a plastic spur gear which has been chewed down after 2 runs lol 😂

Traxxas Slash vxl also got plastic spur... Many middle and low range cars have plastic spurgear.

160 quid uk/ no battery or charger though/ brushed version is 130 comes with 2000mah battery and usb charger........ can highly recommend timetunnelmodels

The inverter fan runs at 5v, it is not suitable for 3s. Did you change or modify it?

3s is ok for the car, maybe little overpowered since quality of car is not so good. If you want to last it longer, stick with 2s

I have the orange one and i feel the throttle is way to harsh, it is level 3 out of 4 from the factory, and the brakes are 75% from the factory, i noticed yours almost front flipped under heavy braking, To save breaking the plastic main drive gear i set the factory esc to start mode soft, and braking to 25%, You can set, forward brake & reverse, or forward & brake no reverse, Drag brake, Low voltage cut off, Start mode, Max brake force, This is for brushless esc MSC-30BL-WP i don't know about the brushed esc, You don't need a program card, and soft start on full soft should make it easier to control and put less strain on weak parts, www.hpiracing.com/en/instructions/150205

Yes you can, you need to set the jumpers on the esc to either nimh or lipo , I’ve heard it runs good on an 8 cell nimh

@@tane388 you are correct, brushless esc will auto detect the battery, they are sold by timetunnelmodels with a green horn 3000mah nimh, the shop does not supply or sell lipo due to the hazards surrounding them, but nimh battery works just fine😊

@@tane388 I have just ordered the flux from above mentioned shop, (got brushed MT version) only supply with nimh, what 2 s lipo is right? 4000mah 50c is ok? If it’s higher mah do I need lower “C” rating?
