Dwight Powell just reminds Mavs fans of a time before Gafford & Lively when he was the starter playing 25+ minutes a game. Those were dark times. Mercifully, we don't have to speak of those days anymore. He's a great locker room guy tho, and a great vet for the young guys to learn from, so if we win the chip, he deserves that ring.

He’s not a big lob threat, not a good shot blocker, not intimidating, and he is worse than lively in the short roll( although he might be Gafford in that) but he was at best a back up big starting for us for like 5 years

I've been a fan of the maverick since before Dirk was a GOAT. I WANTED LUKA WHEN HE WAS IN MADRID. Its obvious the greatness he carries around with him. I was broken hearted when we dropped from 3 to 6 in the draft loto. But then the mavs actually still managed to get him????? And heres more. I see greatness on Lively AND hardy. And the mavs will be scary fot a LONG time.

Nuggets GM needs to look at the reality from this game. He commented just before the start of this series that he didn't want to do what the Mavs did by hinging everything for the next few years to build a good team now and instead decide to coast with who they have. Just from this series alone, we can see which team did things right. After letting go Brown and Green last year, possibly letting go KCP this year, look at the difference in that reality. They left the Nuggets with an inexperienced bench with Malone only prioritizing starters. At the end of the day they lost the chance to repeat with a considerable lack of depth while also admitting that they will do the same for next year. If the Mavs win this year, this may actually give Jokic a chance to not eventually be stuck as the best player on an average team.

He was a freak athlete, but tore his Achilles tendon a while ago and hasn’t been the same since. He plays hard, he’s a great teammate, he’s just not that good anymore. I still love him though
