Hasselblad does NOT make image sensors. This is a Sony sensor, Sony lens, Sony focusing system, Ambarella H series image processor and Hasselblad lens filter. ;-)

Wasn't it also DJI getting Hasselblad's color science too? Was a bit bummed out when it wasn't true to what they said about the camera but the camera quality is still amazing.

Good honest and Pro level perspective.. . Yes the M2Pro will be great for pro photography and videography.. but for day in and day out mapping.. I’m keeping my Phantom 4 Pro v2

for what iam going to use it for the ph4 v2.0 is what iam buying because aim not at all in video grading iam an unproffesional videographer so i will use all in automatic settings and i think the phantom 4 v2.0 is a good choice for that without worring with focus because mavic series doesnt use fixed focus

Hein Wauben the Phantom 4 Pro V2 also has a focusing camera.. I can get amazing results with it.. you don’t need to be a pro to learn basic post processing in Adobe Lightroom, premier or FX Pro and their are less expensive options .. it’s easy to learn the basics of post processing photos and videos from RU-vid tutorials

What's the definition of "not too fast"? At ...for example....AGL 70 metres @ 7mts/sec? Or 5mts/sec....or less, or more?

Pretty much my conclusion from reading the data sheets regarding the mp2 vs p4p debate. Still it's a sexy beast and I kind of want one just to have one kind of like most of the guns in my gun safe.

You are totally wrong ! P4P have not a global shutter, it's Sony IMX183 inside which is rolling shutter. But have good sensors readout with mechanical leaf shutter

Fresh perspective. I love it. Too many unboxing videos with no depth. I have a P4P and Mavic Pro so I’m torn whether to buy a new one. Will it be better than what I have? Just the Hasselblad almost has me sold but the cost. Ouch. Once you add the Fly more package and insurance it’s getting close to 2K. I think I’ll wait a few months for all the bugs (if any) to get worked out and then decide.

Thank you very much, I would not sell your Phantom, Mavic Pro could be good to keep if you have attitude mode on it. The mavic 2 pro does not have attitude mode available.

Someone please answer my question. Im not looking for a mapping device, I want a drone to shoot pre/post/wedding photos and videos. Occasional personal trips and sometimes commercial videos for hotels and other infrastructures. Is the mavic 2 pro good enough or should I buy the phantom 4 pro v2 ?

@@DroneU I got the mavic 2 pro and quite loving it. The footage quality straight out of the camera is not as good as the p4p but pos processing limit is way more than that which has the potential to make the final output better than the p4p.

Thanks; you answered the question I had about p4p vs m2p for mapping. What I haven't figured out yet is, which one for "infrastructure" type work, where you need to be close to a wind turbine blade / cell phone tower / power transmission tower? It seems that the m2p is *much* more stable and locked in in windy conditions than the p2p; but you'd be laughed off the job if you showed up with a "toy" like the m2p. Hmm. Actually, even using a p4p for those jobs is a bit amateurish. I guess a larger hex or octo with a pro camera would be more suited to that type of work?

Wait, can someone please explain to me. I just bought Mavic 2 Pro, and i use dji go 4 software for videos and photos, as it was given by the dji mavic 2 pro. So?? What should i use for 3d mapping? Can i use the dji go 4 or Pix4D software. I'm still confuse

Late response but yeah. Dji go 4 is the main app the control the drone. For mapping purposes you'll have to go strictly to Drone Deploy or Pix4D. Both apps will seemlessly connect to your drone when on and you just have to setup the mission

you can only get 4k 60fps on the Phantom 4 Pro, not the Mavic Pro 2 (4k 30fps)

I’m really trying to decide between the Mavic 2 Pro or the Phantom 4 Pro V2. I work at a gas/oil engineering company and want to use my personal drone to help kickstart a drone program at work for mapping, photogrammetry, and GIS/CAD data collection. For personal use (mainly photography), I really like the idea of having a compact drone that’s easy to travel with, but I also want to get something that would still be adequate for trying out mapping software (at least for some initial proof of concept jobs). If my boss sees this as something to move forward with, then the company would likely start with renting, then hopefully purchasing, a more industrial solution, like a Matrice 200 or 600. I have a hefty coupon for Best Buy and want to make a decision within the next couple of days before it expires.

haha, thanks for the reply. I'm leaning towards the P4P v2. Though the "ooh new shiny drone!" factor of the M2P has been hard to resist, I'd rather invest in something vetted and with (most) kinks worked out, and that is proven to work with most mapping software (I know Pix4D is working out final details with their support of v2).

Drone U on another video recommends the Phantom 4 Pro, not the V2 for mapping. No idea why, but there might be a good reason for it. The V2 blades make less noise, but I wonder if there is a compromise there as far as if the blades have the same amount of lift. I use the P4P, it's great. All the kinks have been worked out of the hardware and software.

get an inspire :) you wont regret it, just get the x4s model to start and price will be comparable. X5s for bigger pockets.

When you talk about the P4, Mavic, and Mavic2 Pro your comparing toy drones, when you compare the camera on the Mavic2 Pro with the Sony a7RIII your comparing a 1" CMOS 20MP camera with a full frame 43MP camera and when you state that the Mavic2 Pro is 10 bit and the Sony is 8 bit your just wrong. the Sony is 14bit and can shoot 10bit log. There is no comparison.

I agree with you but remember this is a business and as a such, they are maximizing their return and also keeping very well separated two distinctive lines: the Mavic line and the Phantom 4 Line. I can almost guarantee you that Phantom 5 Pro will have exchangeable cameras BUT you will have to buy it separately. Is the nature of the business unfortunately. This is why I am getting the Mavic Pro 2 and will buy the ultra portable Anafi which have zoom for my holidays overseas.

In fact, there is no difference between the mavic 2 zoom version and the pro version, so you don't have to worry too much about which one to buy. Just buy your favorite, and someday you can change the drone version by changing the camera...

So if I am understanding correctly the Mavic 2 pro can be used with pix4d to produce 3D models Orthomosaics, but in the pix4D Capture APP does not have the Mavic 2 versions only Mavic pro, is the Mavic pro able to be used to do the flight planning and execute missions or not?
