Max sings "I Wish I Could Sing Like Jolson" and then clowns arounds with orchestra leader Geoff Love who 'also' wants to sing like Jolson but with a little help from Max!
Just fantastic Maxie. I always loved your music and I can see that you loved Jolson as I did. Unfortunately you are both gone now, gone but not forgotten as long as fans like me remain alive.
Jolson made a lot more than two films! If you're referring to the biopics starring Larry Parks, they are a good, if rather inaccurate snapshot of Jolson's life. He was born in Lithuania, he had brothers and sisters not mentioned in the films, he was married 4 times instead of two, he adopted a Son, his mother died when he was 8, not during World War II, his "manager" Steve Martin never existed. I love the Larry Parks films, but they aren't very much like Jolson's life at all!
Who was the gentleman with Max his first name was Geoff was he a band leader and was he the band leader in dirty dancing can any one help please thank you Patricia pogue
Get off your WOKE virtue signalling stool. Put it in context, " the past is a foreign country they do things differently there" wrote L.P Hartley in 1953. How we understand the past and how we come to terms with our own memories is an unpaid debt that all humans share. That was then its not now is it?
@@hunterluxton5976 You clearly haven't read anything about Max and his behaviour towards his family. This has nothing to do with woke. You don't understand that word or its context. This is about Max being a terrible father and husband. If you don't believe me see what his children think of him.
@@jasonandlynnechambers3420try sticking to the comments you made about the video. They had nothing to do with his private life. You sanctimonious buffoon.
