As a fellow identical twin who grew up in the country/midwest where you don’t talk about this stuff, I have thoughts on the first caller. 1. If they were different, it feels like one of them would have noticed growing up. 2. If brother was comfortable questioning why they are circumcising; and his wife said he was uncircumcised and they won’t do it for their boys, then clearly brother and his wife have discussed it and know what it is. Right? Why assume they probably don’t know? 3. If they are different, I could see callers parents not being on the same page and agreeing to do one and not the other more than i could see it being about telling them apart. If I were caller, since brother brought it up in the first place, I would circle back around to him and say “you mentioned at our house that we shouldn’t do it, and I’ve been thinking about it and since I am circumcised it’s all I’ve ever known. Why you don’t recommend it?” And if that doesn’t get him understanding then say “my wife mentioned to me that your wife said you aren’t going to circumcise your boys, and that’s because you aren’t circumcised…I’m definitely circumcised, did mom and dad do us differently?” Keeping it to the words circumcised vs uncircumcised and not mentioning the anatomical parts involved makes it a little easier to talk about for people that avoid talking about this stuff.

in case the first caller is in these comments, I think the obvious answer is to find a textbook diagram showing both circumcised and uncircumcised online somewhere, then send that to the brother and ask which one his looks like.

When it comes to the second caller... It's not necessary to say "I lied, I sold the gecko 2 months ago." Whenever she calls the mom, she can just say "I JUST sold it. I was talking to someone who at that moment told me they were interested in owning a gecko, they made me an offer and I took it. It was a last minute decision...sorry to little Timmy."

I started The Office at like season 4 or so, my sister in law let me borrow the DVDs to catch up, when it was in the air. But I was there the entire run of New Girl while it was airing, and I've been back at least once a year since it went onto streaming.
