Funny that Max Headroom, perhaps the ultimate embodiment of computerization and digitization in the 80's, wasn't digital at all. We simply did not have the technology yet.
Totally underrated actor. Wonderful guy and excellent personality!! HE gave Max live. And yeah! Max Headroom invented RU-vid poop looong before the internet as we know it and of yourse RU-vid ;)
This is the reason I love BBC. They are willing to take chances and risks like this. You'd never have seen Max Headroom ever on US TV, until after it became a hit - which, of course, can't happen, if you're not willing to air the idea in the first place.
I would be so disappointed if Grace Jones wasn't ever involucrated in the world of Max Headroom. She even was interviewed by him in his talk show. Thanks universe.
Whatever happened to Max? Wasn't he simply years ahead of his time? I prefered his original incarnation where he used to slow his voice right down, as well as speed up and stutter. Anyone remember his advert for A.G.E, the number cure for spots..... my flatmate recorded Dallas over it for me, what a loss :( . I'd love to see it all again.
i got scared of him as kid lol thought he was a robot on the rampage :P i did look at him with terror and fear XD but i was so fascinated i could not stop watching my eyes were big as tires on a Ferguson tractor ffs :).
Could you please upload the full episode? I've been searching for it for ages, though it isn't anywhere online. If you can, that'd be brilliant, thank you.
Yeah, but did the average person know that back then? If it looked like what they figured a CG host would look like and the show was saying it was (while in character), anybody who didn't know would just assume it was legit.
