The ROG Ally is the best handheld, I would just love if this can have the exact same OLED 900p screen from the SteamDeck so all games run on native 900p with outstanding Performance!
ETA please make a vídeo on how Rog Ally x Works with Lossless scalling, i bet it's a good way to save battery locking the games at 30fps e using lossless to output 60fps! Thks for the awsome vídeo as always! 😊
just tested that yday on persona 3 reloaded . on ayaneo kun . i needed 20-ish watts tdp to hit 60 . 14 watts to hit 30 + loseless to generate . but it does create ghosting if you look closely. it is playable however and a very good way to save battery
Filterless channel checked it. It makes sense only if you feel cold. FPS stops growing after 25W. 30W is overkill already. Moreover, Ally motherboard limits charging to 30W. It means if you manually set 2 min boost and 10 sec boost at a higher level, you start losing battery % even on a charger. So I recommend set manually not a higher than 30W for any performance setting.
It's risky but I use XOS instead. No windows telemetry or any bloat. best performance for games. That said with how integrated and good Armory Crate is, I don't feel the need to use G-Helper.
@@slapnut892 It's not bloat. It does not effect the system's performance if installed or not and is only 520Mb. It gives you the ability to adjust TDP, updates to firmware, updates to bios, set macros. Also, the ability to quickly adjust settings Like CPU boost, controls, resolution, FSR etc. In addition each game can have specific adjustments including CPU boost, TDP, Gyro. Lastly you can calibrate all the sensors and controls. Sure you can use third part apps but nothing comes close to having it all in one spot and per game profiles. So IDK what you're on about. Not only did Asus make Windows on a handheld usable but they added all the features people are asking for without effecting performance or space.
Any issues running Ghelper with armor crate? I like to use armor crate to launch games and also like it’s quick menu to switch settings like afmf on and off etc
I don't know how but after switching off memory integrity I started to have wifi connection problems. Like losing connection and having 1 or 2 bars of connection standing next to router. After switching it back. The wifi is working back
so normally you see 25W and sometimes when connected to the charger we have 30W/35W. Can you show the difference in Benchmarks and Games ie Geekbench and your standard Forza Horizon 5 ?
Thank you for the video! I recently received my Ally X and was wondering if you all plan to offer a case for it. I'm concerned about potential overheating. Any insights would be appreciated.
Personally, I think that the Z1 Extreme is already having enough performance for a handheld gaming device , and the battery is far more than enough for me. Plus still no news about the ally 2. Therefore I would definitely recommend to get the ally x as a ally z1e user.
@@Pluffery Thank you for your reply. I'll definitely consider it. Though, I still wanna wait it out for a bit to see if the SD card issue has been resolved, or if there are any other kind of issues
@@PNDxSKY you have to sign into “My Asus” and they have a Bios update. After the update you have the option to set it up to 16. I have mine set to 10 and have seen no problems so far.
The custom power and fan control in Ghelper is just superior to AC. The fact alone that we can change the wattage to anything we want down to 5w is just great. Changing the fan speeds to anything as well. I hate in AC you cant go as low or as high as you want. Its as low or high as Asus wants.
It doesn't "conflict", but both apps can set the same modes and other settings. So Armoury can override G-Helper's settings. To prevent that you can just (temporarily) stop all Asus services from G-Helper's "Extra" settings, and then start them again if you need Armoury for some reason :)
yes i worried about that coz i have try download it and it make my fans stop a while when change the mode... so i delete this ghelper and just use armory crate
G helper doesn't work on the ally x like it did on the original. You can disable command center and use g helper exclusively. The one button controller/mouse button doesn't work
@@serge-2780 it's up to date I've been using g helper a while now . I program the command center button to swap between controller and mouse and when I press it, it just stays on gamepad. Was hoping ETA would actually show it. Idk what's wrong
@@serge-2780 youre the creator right can you please add a way to switch between desktop and gamepad on allys to your program, i would use it if it had that
Is it possible to connect the rog all x to a tv to achieve 4K 120 FPS with Geforce now. If so, can I also play with a keyboard and mouse connected to the Rog Ally X?
@pixelman2626 it's a security feature, and turning it off only helps old computers for the most part . It's better to just leave it on and protect your PC. You won't gain a bunch of FPS on the Ally X.
@@xin215 That's all I play is modern games...one player games. Like God of war and final fantasy 7 remake.. why do I need to worry about anticheat??? That is a stupid comment..lol
@@xin215 you play high graphics games on computer, if your talking multi player call of duty ...you use your Xbox one...wasted power on them games!! By running bazzite , I get 20 to 30% more power .. you be stupid not to run bazzite on your rog ally..
