was really hoping this would be like pretty much every other fromsoft dlc and the release would only be 2 months out from the trailer drop, but when i seen “first trailer” i knew it wasn’t happening and the wait was gonna be longer, 4 months ain’t too bad tho so still hyped as hell
I’ve always made “unarmed” builds in all these games, DkS2 was a high point for the concept. Freely switching between vanquishers’ seal boxing and an invisible bonefist for the kung fu moveset was so fun in invasions. I’m so happy to see some high kicks here! Hope it’s a dex-faith weapon.
@@thisaccountismymain I feel like that "sword" (looks like his spine/bones sharpened) will come with his head attached, like some body horror version of the final boss' sword in the base game...
Except the number of A's don't indicate quality for the user, since it's a term coined by the Finance sector. AAA means that something is very likely to hit the Financial commitments, nothing more.
The Armored Core 621 reference is a nice touch with the release date. Imagine the power that the new super boss uses is the Coral from Armored Core 6 :0
Yeah, I got heavily into Baldur's Gate these past few months and I went back to Elden Ring but felt bad because I couldn't bring over my bard build. But now they give me the next best thing and let me build my Monk build that I used to beat Honour mode the first time. I'm fucking ready. @@mikeharris6429
The DLC Cover Art looks like a callback to The Old Hunter's DLC Cover Art with Lady Maria in the throne, being the first two DLC's for each game but maybe that's just my FromSoft brain putting references where they aren't and it's just a character on a throne LMAO
2:51 that beast boss is gonna possibly be a two stage fight with two enemies. If you pay close attention the one with the lion head is standing on the back of the other monster 😮
@@yeahyeahyeah688 definitely could be since that other monster in that water fight clip does some kind of porcupine maneuver that gives off the crucible incantation effects
Man it was hilarious reading the description and the pinned chat message that there would be another 30min countdown and then seeing several hundred thousand people get surprised by it xD
This. This is what a Quadruple A game looks like. Endlessly replayable. Made for single player, supports multiplayer just as effectively. Beautiful graphics. Dedication to remove bugs that damage the experience. Dedication to provide further content at the same quality of the original product, if not higher. Has a unique thematic, characters, story, and gameplay. Doesn't include a subscription, microtransactions, or other similar scummy anti-consumer corporate practices. Made to be a work of art that can be played and enjoyed any time. You can feel the passion of every individual person in the studio that worked on it.
Calling it now, Messmer is the third child of Radagon and Marika. We have Malenia, Miquella and now Messmer. Just Like Rykard, Radahn and Ranni are Rennala/Radagons children. "Mother would you lordship sanction, one so bereft of light?" Messmer asking Marika why she reached out to or gifted us, a lowly tarnished, the guidance of grace/light. Can't wait for a Vaati Vidya video dissecting this trailer.
Such an awesome trailer man. I can't wait. But props to yo Max for holding up that whole time. You had been going for so long at this point, it was a struggle, but you kept it together. Appreciate how hard you've been going the past little while here, and now the coming week(s). You're great, man. 👏
Eurogamer got an interview with Miyazaki where he mentioned that it's bigger than any other DLC they've made, the new map bigger than Limgrave, they have 6 new weapon _TYPES,_ they also have a unique division beyond just the separation of map regions & legacy dungeons, AND it's meant to allow you to progress how and when you want in a unique way.
Well done doood and your team winning at streamer awards well deserved Love your content and your love for CAPCOM like I do they changed my life aswell Let’s gooo
Fromsoft self-publishes in Japan and always has. They've been through many different publishing deals for elsewhere in the world. Hell, Armored Core 4 was published by Sega, and Armored Core: for Answer was published by Ubisoft(!).
Marika, Mohg, Morgott, Melina, Malenia, Miquella and now maybe Messmer is added to the family tree? It's concerning if there's a child more unknown than the two Omens that were meant to be stuffed away in the sewers forever. What sort of an ugly secret is Messmer then?
The camera Zooms into a the sight of a worn, tired, dusty eye asleep for millenniums, it suddenly lurches wide open the light glimmering off a piercing blue iris - Clarity and understanding reflected in its gaze. The thunderous rumbling of a thousand breathless roars echoing off of one another. The lore youtube channels already in mass writing videos and making little red circles all over random screenshots of the trailer
This team is so good they casually dropped one of their best composed pieces ever for a trailer...which, well, now that I think of it, it really did its job remarkably well on me 😳
Messmer's body looks very, very similar to what we see in the cocoon that Mogh had in his temple. The way the elongated arms looked. Possible that Miquella tricked Mogh or managed to swap out somehow with him knowing?
@yurifairy2969 from lore it's heavily implied that Saint Trinia is Miquella's other self if he does have one. There's also an area in the main game called The Impaler's Catacombs and in it you find a ghost child saying, Oh Marika Queen Eternal. He is your unwanted child. This along with the lore given that let's us know that the Erd Tree was burned before leads me to believe that he's a child of Marika.
It's just a rumor for now but yeah... it's supposedly about half the size of the original game (counting underground locations, not just surface area).
Miyazaki: "We're working on a DLC." Also Miyazaki: "Heres Elden Ring 2." Also I get that the DLC area will be the size of Limgrave, but also remember that the Weeping Peninsula is part of Limgrave too. Thats a HUGE play area
"So what's your new favorite boss in Shadow of The Erdtree?" "Dunno mate, I just popped in mimic tear and comet azur and all of them died like shit, lmao."
Just so you know, FromSoftware only recently got the full rights to Elden Ring. This DLC has been in development ever since Elden Ring launched, so Bandai Namco did publish it. The initial agreement was that Bandai Namco would publish this franchise but FromSoftware would still own the IP, and now they’ve got full control of it.
Insane how breathtaking the scenery always is in FromSoft games. This blew my mind, and the bosses and new mechanics look so sick man, I love these developpers
