If Max were DSP: "Wow what the hell's with these combos, I'm blocking!" "LAAAAAAAG!" "Wow, look at all these hits, unearned. Enjoy earning none of your hits!" "Wow this guy's so bad! HA HA HA!" But it's Max so what we get is a sometimes calm, sometimes funny guy who always says 'good game'.
+Adloquium Dubious the thing is, that max had a chance to play. several chances actually. he just kept blocking wrong and didn't really have a competent plan on offense or in neutral. i'm just saying that the game is fair (better players destroy lesser players) and fun (features dynamic play styles, even when the effective roster shrinks) and i'd hate for people to miss that when judging this game.
You gotta give him a break, though. Not only did he came back in the next rounds, but that Hugo did three spins with the stick after a Parry. I would have ragequit by then. And about THIS video... it's Marvel. I dunno, it is.

I just love the marvel throw back videos. I still have physical copies of this game for ps2 and dreamcast with both systems. suddenly I feel like dusting off my systems.
That character select music tho... it brings me nightmares... When I owned a game store I had MvC2 on the entire day bc I had a lot of kids that came in just to play it (seeing physical copies went for $50-$100 before it went digital). I hear that song on my sleep sometimes.
I hate the soundtrack of this game all of them I hate every single soundtrack I wish they would have just recycled Marvel versus Capcom soundtrack into it since it was a million times better
+MillionShadesofDarkness I had read somewhere Cable was intentionally made cheap. That could only be a level 999 Trolling skill someone at Capcom adquired to do something like that.
max, I really respect and appreciate videos like this, because after a long day of getting bodied myself in fighting games, it's good to know that even sometimes the greats have bad days. keep up the good games man!
Max! Uh, hey. I just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying your channel so far. So cool of you to be playing many different games while still keeping a common theme (fighting games). That's a pretty genius way to increase the longevity of your channel.
what Max says at 9:32 is so damn accurate and I consider myself one of those guys. I was not a fan of mvc3 made so simple and having a damn launched button and I returned it the week the game came out for a refund.
Marvel games are fun as hell when you either choose teams at random or have you and your opponent choose each other's teams (doesn't really work online). Once people get things worked out they just become the same fight until everyone stops playing because there's nothing new to see.
Well I guess I'm one of the lucky ones no wonder when I go to the search bar to get to marvel vs capcom 1 and 2 I can't find it on PlayStation store but if I go to my download list I can download it now I know thanks max thanks a lot for the info bro.
What made the PS2 port bad was it used a CD instead of a DVD. I'm thinking of getting a Dreamcast with this game but I prefer the PlayStation pad over others.
It is a bit difficult, but I think one thing may help you against those type of players. It is called Team Z. It consists of Juggernaut, Dr. Doom , and Tron Bonne. just look up how to play team z, and it will show you. It really helped me against people like my roommate who would almost always pick MSP when we played years ago. (on the Dreamcast lol)
